Fungeons & Flagons

The perfect successor to Maude Garrett's SourceFed D&D show. This time on Geek Bomb's YouTube channel. She gets more awesome guests every year. This show is the right D&D for me. Improvisation and fun are the main ingredients. We don't need rules, only dice.

I adore these seasons created by Maude Garrett. The show's focus on improv and fun really sets it apart from the 5+ hour episodes of regular DnD, where every rule is quibbled and argued over.

Here the Mauderator lets you do what you can roll.

A lot of role playing shows can get bogged down by rules and past lore but Fungeons thankfully does not have that problem. It's mostly improv with wonderful Mauderator Maude Garrett guiding the cast along for the ride. The mix of role playing vets and beginners is fantastic for hilarious interactions that had me rolling on the floor laughing. Highly recommend if you need a laugh. Or a lot of laughs.

The improve nature of this show is one of the funniest things I've ever seen. I had a smile on my face ever episode with a lot of belly busting laughs. Maude Garrett creates such wonderful worlds that her players get totally into. Season 3 was the best so far but they are all winners. It's just a fun good time of improv insanity.

It's fair to say that I am no DnD expert, in fact I know next to nothing of this world.....the fact that I just had to look up whether it was DnD or D&D proves this point :D.

But this is where Fungeons is different, you can leave your rules & your traditions where you parked you Flagon! I was worried when I started watching that I was going to struggle to follow the story & plot, but thanks to the amazing Mauderator, there were never going to be such issues & I am so happy to have joined the viewership of this magical realm of wonderful characters, great plot points & gallons & gallons of laughter. I'm fully aware that as a non DnD enthusiast, I don't have the traditional way to compare it to, but I believe that the improv aspect of Fungeons is what sets it apart & brings it to a totally new audience resulting in the cast as well as the audience on occasion bursting into fits of laughter & tears streaming down your face.

I can assure you that watching just a single episode of any season of this show, you'll be putting the D8 in your diary for every live episode afterwards!
