First of all I don't know why mohanlal took this movie . The script is such a disappointment and the direction is utter flop . only thing positive is mohanlal acting . I don't know why many people revied this as great re.really a person who watch this in theater by spending money can't sit in the theater for 2 hour's
I feel that the title of the movie is not very suitable and also that the trailer is very misleading. The trailer gave me a wrong impression that the lead character of the movie is in (a wrong) relationship with various women which is not the case. (Initially. I even decided not to watch the movie after seeing the trailer.)
The protagonist in the movie is very realistic and does not possess great mental and physical capabilities (unlike heroes in 90% of other survival films). Acting is very subtle and does not contain 'severe' facial expressions. There are no great stunts. So in case the audience is expecting all these, they will be in for a disappointment. If you are in for how an ordinary person will respond to a terrible accident, you will enjoy the movie.

2 hours wasted. Movie is nothing like the name. The story is the silliest ever. The director has no clue what he was doing.
Nadia Moidu should really stop acting. I just couldn't watch the exaggerated acting.
Mohanlal was in pain the whole time like I was. After all these decades he still can't pick a good script.
Anyway the worst movie of the year yet.

After almost 7 months of nothing, Mohanlal is back with a thriller, well sort of. Neerali works in parts. It's a great 'cliff hanging' movie, if you're into that sort of stuff and can make you sleep paralytic within minutes.
Neerali is so bad that 1 hour into the film you will adjust your inner film critic to the quality of the film so that subconsciously you will be satisfied that your money didn't go wasted just like that. Mohanlal was barely 'acting'. He was almost literally in pain throughout the dialogue deliveries and other dull plot devices. Suraj offers some amount of comic as well as 'acting' relief. Nadia Moidu was not even in the 'zone'. Casting was miles off. Young, energetic options were certainly available.
For a film that includes a 10cr + budget for VFX alone, Neerali is a sure disaster. The positives range from appreciable VFX work, great score and brilliant yet small subtleties that give this hard and unimpressive film a chance.
If Mohanlal continues this kind of performance in Odiyan, which is possibly the most hyped film of 2018, it is going to be really hard for fans to cheer for it.

Totally disappointing that a great actor like Mohanlal could work in such a near disaster movie. This is a flop in all departments.
