Caught this on Amazon last night. Wasn't expecting much. This was really good. Although you could tell they did not have a lot of money to do it, it was really entertaining. Nice camera work and action scenes. Kudos to all of the cast and such beautiful women!
This was a lot of fun. The musical score was pretty 80's and reminded me of a John Carpenter kind of score which I enjoyed. Opening was pretty strong and kept my attention throughout. I think they made this for like 12k, and if that is really all they spent, it was really good.
Feel like this movie was written by failing college art majors...tried to be noir or who knows what...waste of time...cliches...but not even good cliches...
Caught this on Amazon Prime. Was a fun ride. The acting is good, the direction is cool and loved the black and white. Felt like an old noir film. Was kind of like early Michael Mann flick crossed with Kubrick's "The Killing."
This film nearly has it all- interesting story, great locations, cinematography, diverse characters, a heist. I really wanted to like this film. But the acting is horrible from A to Z. In scene after scene I found myself thinking "People don't really talk like this". The supposed crime boss comes off as too nice even when threatening the "thief". Ditto the bookie that he owes money to. The police investigators "probing" a police-involved shooting seem uninterested. As do all the actors in this film. I think that they filmed a read-through or put together the auditions of the actors who failed to get the parts. This film is so bad that it could easily become a cult favorite !

- TriviaGood: During the scene at Santa Anita Racetrack they show racing at other racetracks one being Del Mar. Del Mar would never be racing while Santa Anita was running. The two tracks alternate their meets. If you follow the sport you will notice that quite easily.
