Guaranteed to have you talking to the screen and ready to defend the main character throughout the movie.
Ok. This movie was absolutely amazing. Dang. It started a little off - but... man -its up there now in my favorite movies.
Overall, this movie was an enjoyable experience. Loved how the characters were portrayed, as well as the plot. However, the one glaring issue I have with this movie is the frankly disrespectful background music in some of the more emotionally charged scenes. The laid-back, casual, monotonous, and disturbing elevator music really took me out of the film multiple times. Both my friend and I made multiple comments on how the background music was in no way suitable for the scene. Especially in the latter half of the film, where we see our characters' struggles, the music felt like it was taking away from the emotions the movie was trying to convey through their experiences. TL;DR Good movie, awful elevator music.
I felt that this movie was so relatable, and that each unfolding event was filled with surprising turns that kept me entertained. So many things I have gone thru myself, I relate to much of the story
The only reason I gave 9 stars was because I felt left on a cliff by not knowing what happened with the kids. I know that the story was centered around Grace, but I wanted to know what happened with the rest of the characters. I laughed, I cried and I had my kids go back and watch the movie. Karen Ambercrombie is a great actress. I have loved everything I have seen her in.
