"The transitory entertainment business just isn't what it use to be"

There's several underlying themes in this movie. From being an outcast, to someone feeling alien in their own body, the want to be accepted for being our true selves. But it all felt very literal and there were a lot of old and used tropes that dragged it down from what could have been an amazing film.

it Was Neither Here Nor There Something To Watch

The lead male young actor was good actor. Like others reviews, the make-up was great. I was shocked of the girl, not expecting that. The age of both was not expecting where they regularly patrons. The baddie was of course cheesy but played what written well. Have no clue why Chloë Sevigny has first billing as five minutes in film. Don't care if more star, longer in business, past roles, It was deceiving, should be fixed.

A story of friendship and acceptance

An unusual tale with unexpected turns. Good acting and a story to make you think.

    Touching

This is a touching story about a boy who tries to navigate a very hard life. It's not as bleak as it could be, which is a good thing.

    Beautiful film about difference.

Really beautiful film, deserves to be better known.

This film deserves to win many awards, but it won't because it isn't big enough in the modern scheme of things. The cinematography was stunning and the locations were strangely beautiful. Production was great and the acting was excellent. Once again Jaeden Martell was totally brilliant.

    • Trivia
Filmed in September 2017, it took two years for it to be shown in film festivals (July and December 2019) and three years for it to get a U.S. release (October 2020). That's why Jaeden Martell looked so much younger. He was 14 during filming and 17 when it was finally released in the U.S.
    • Crazy credits
The credits feature a melancholy dance sequence featuring Mr. Silk and members of the traveling circus.
