First, I appreciate this kind of movies from time to time that tries hard to copy the original style from Pulp Fiction or Lock and Stock.
Second, this one tries hard but fails soon, as soon as the script create weird situations and decisions from the characters.
Lastly, some movie characters could have been great, with a more risky script, but the movie fails on originality and sinks by itself. The ending is a cheesy joke.
Overall watchable but not a great one. I suggest to watch it if you're a great fan of Guy Ritchie's movies or Tarantino. I didn't love as I would this one honey bunny.
Very enjoyable movie. Crispin Glover played the perfect crazy killer looking for revenge.
I enjoyed this odd-ball crime comedy, it came across like a low budget Tarantino film, with European overtones in terms of style, this film involves one unfortunate guy who gets out of jail and the crazy day he has trying to keep his life together and the characters that affect his world, I have to give props to Crispin Glover for providing the most unhinged villain, he is hardcore crazy as Luc the retirement planner, the parole officer in the film was hilarious , the bar scene has to be seen, very dark and funny as well,it goes by rather quickly this film so it won't take up too much of your time, good action scenes and acting overall.
But the real problem is the cast, and the worst mistaken cast is Luke Bracey, who played the role, Red. What a terrible actor. The whole movie is completely ruined by this guy, Jesus. He's not into this role and into this movie, and his weird Aussie accent also made him out of the place. His acting is awkward, lukewarm, contrite, forced, didn't even try hard to let himself into that role and into this movie. This guy is the first actor made me curse a lot. I noticed that Tomer Sisley played a bar tender role in it, and immediately thought that he might be the better choice for the Red role. Luke Bracey is a disaster. This guy should change his profession right away, I seriously think any movie he's in it would totally ruin it.
Tomer Sisley is a weirdo actor but a very talented one. He's the one that made this movie barely watchable in an over-the-top absurd way. There were many segments quite funny but the large part of this movie was not good, between melodrama and farce. I just don't understand what's the purpose Red's daughter would insist speaking French only. The dialog between the Red's wife and his daughter was in French, but what's the particular purpose? Then a guy speaking in heavy Aussie accent English also further messed up in a farce style. I don't know why, but even during my writing of this clueless review, I still feel bad about Luke Bracey, the lousy and bad actor in this movie.

The crazy frenchman is on a revenge streak and fresh-outta-jail is trying to protect his family. The movie has an identity crisis / like a dark action that can't decide if it wants to be funny.
