Bearkittens movie is fun romp in the woods. The cast is great and everyone is very creditable in their roles. Good story telling with a fun twist ending.

Deftly handles shifts in tone from funny, to thrilling to horrifying in the space of seconds. Strong cast. Well shot. Good pace. really enjoyed this one.

I always love to create comparisons to help others better understand a film, my comparable for Bearkittens is: imagine Orange is the New Black has a one night stand with Spinal Tap in Berlin, and they produce a child that grows up to be the leader of an indie punk band that opens for Green Day. This child is Bearkittens. Bearkittens is a dark comedy that follows a group of young criminally convicted women who must do community service trash cleanup in a park. Without giving away too much, what seems like a teen comedy at the outset, quickly spirals into much darker depths. Other than being a fun and intriguing story, I was really impressed by the performances. Bearkittens has an incredibly strong cast and I look forward to seeing more from these actresses in the future. Overall, Bearkittens was a fun ride.

Lars Henriks' savagely humorous "Bearkittens" mixes searing writing with astounding acting in a dark comedy destined for cult classic status.

Petra (Stefanie Borb) manifests all the idealistic clichés we associate with our fresh-faced social worker. With a do-gooder's disposition, she leads a collection of young, orange jumpsuit-clad females into the dark forest to perform the community service of garbage collection. Each of these transgressors presents a shrewdly conceived character sketch embodying a universally identifiable female archetype, and together, they're nothing short of an enthralling ensemble cast. Once we're deep into the woods, things feel destined to go bad. And once they do, "Bearkittens" takes its already elevated game up another notch.
