A woman has evidently recently betrayed her husband and now lives with a younger man and her two children. He is almost a toyboy. Yet this woman is portrayed as this caring, ever so sensitive admirable middle class mother with ever so nice middle class friends who seem quite happy to approve of her new life. They are planning a holiday together. The effects on the two children? The eleven-year-old daughter seems to fancy her new dad. In a shy, innocent way, of course.
The whole thing is unreal. But the values portrayed are up-to-date. A bad situation is sanitised. The deserted husband's suffering is quite well portrayed, though. But It can't be helped. All's fair in love and war and nobody is guilty. The story itself is weak. The daughter has gone quiet. Her mother who has betrayed her father is so perfectly worried about this. There is the usual suspected cause.

I started this because the plot sounded Lifetime-y and I thought it would be a good hate-watch, like to drink and laugh at, probably like 4 out of 10 stars, but it actually ended up being decently well-written and even better acted. Indira is fantastic. So I'll have to find something else to hate-watch, I guess.
I thought this was very well written and the actors were all excellent. Indira Varma was brilliant in her portrayal of the mother.
It packed a punch for such a short film. Extremely thought provoking and undeniably contentious, as indicated by the differing reviews.
It has you jumping to conclusions, questioning actions taken within the storyline and questioning what you would do (or think you would do!) yourself under such circumstances . It is undeniably a very sensitive issue with far reaching ramifications.
It's always very interesting that we, as viewers, are quick to decide what we would do in a situation like this film dramatises when never having lived it. That in itself proves that it is an excellent watch, as it attracts such differing opinions.

This 47 mins movie feels like a properly made feature film. It has its tense moments and a suspenseful atmosphere which continues until the climax. It ends up being a mystery suspense movie actually but is so well made and acted that it doesn't let you move an inch. Indira Verma does a great job yet again as the mother. Totally worth the time. Don't miss it!
In less than 50 minutes this thriller moves from seemingly happy families to the broken pieces of a budding relationship. A woman splits from her husband. Arrangements are made to share the kids on alternate weekends. One of the kids is a brooding 11 year old girl: many parents would be very familiar with the bubbling hormones and the secretive life they can lead.meanwhile the mother begins a friendship with a much younger man. He moves into her home and finds himself as part of a family. Shortly thereafter the mother receives an anonymous text message suggesting her boyfriend might be behaving inappropriately with the daughter. Doubt ensues and works its corrosive spell.
Certainly worth the time.
