De Sade's work in Athens

Marquis de Sade's scandalous novel "Philosophy in the boudoir" was translated and adapted by Heraklis Logothetis and Giorgos Papatheodorou is staging it at the Athens Theatre. The extreme and the invitation are constants in the literary work of the French author, whose oeuvre includes the heretical "120 Days in Sodom". "Philosophy in the boudoir", a work bordering on pornography, opens the curtain of the bedroom of the 26-year-old libertine M. De Saint-Ange and allows us to see how she introduces her 15-year-old friend Eugenia to the secrets of sexuality. It was published for the first time in 1795 and as Heraklis Logothetis underlines in his note: "It is a scandalous parody of the pedagogical novels that were particularly popular in France in the 18th century." Alexandros Martzoukos, Dimitra Burnele, Kyriaki Ypsilanti, Iulia Falia, Nestoras Auchianes and Stelios Vergos are playing.
