A fun, PG cop show my teens and I enjoy together! We all find something to laugh at and cringe with at the awkward social dynamics. A great break from the flashes of blood and gore, and the drawn out violent crime scenes.
Listening to Burl, in episode 6, make an off-the-wall comment about Greg Kinnear has become a family joke/prank and we all listen for the name in each remaining episode.
What an excellent show.
The combination of Groban and Danza is excellent, the show has a great combination between comedy and mystery.
Tony Danza has been off the screen for awhile but this shows he hasn't lost any of his comedy touch.
Groban plays his role well as the son. The other cast members are excellent in their respective roles.
Watch this program you will not be disappointed.
Netflix should be proud to show this program on their site, well done this one is going to be a sleeper hit.
How do I just find this show, binge it all weekend, and already it's cancelled? I wish Netflix would have billed this better. If you love Psych or Republic of Doyle, will enjoy this show.
More of a comedy, very much like Monk. If you are a fan of Monk, you'll more than likely appreciate The Good Cop. Sometimes you just want to relax and enjoy a simple who done it and likeable characters. Very old school, love that there's no social messages or preachy political views. Love the Tony Danza and Josh Grodan duo. For a change, I'm thanking Netflix.
Why Netflix! Whyyyyy!? Josh Groban has huge potential as an actor. And Tony Danza's still got it. Sad that Netflix has announced its cancellation just after 10 episodes. I felt that the writers did a good job on fresh ideas.
