Ballsy raw near perfection, like "The Hills Have Eyes" meets "Last House on the Left"

I stumbled upon this movie on Tubi. The artwork drew me in.

If you like those stylish horror thriller from the 70s like "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" and "Last House in the Left" where the direction of the movie is unpredictable and horrific this movie is for you.

The characters felt loose. The suspense was real. This movie will polarize with lovers and haters of the genera. And that's ok.

Btw I have friends who have rented a room out on Airbnb while they lived in the house. So that part of the movie is real. Not sure I would have made the decisions made by the parents but hey it's a movie and I love a good thrill ride! An unexpected gem!

Not to bad, not to good

I'll start off with the main actress, she shows her breasts for a small amount of time, they're nothing special, nipple area to big for what she has, they're a 2/10.

The movie in itself isn't bad, but it's been done before with nothing really new to add to the genre. The acting was average and it presents like just a family was filmed while going about their normal day.

Nothing much really happens, can tell that it had a very low budget but they did what they could with what they had, it might have been better if they had a larger budget but who knows, we get what they could afford here and that's why it's a 4/10.

    Depressing and amateurish

I understand this is a low budget movie, but they couldn't even afford an original title? There's another movie by the title that was made in 2002. That should've been the first warning about this movie. I'm someone who's lived in the suburbs for all my life. I would never make the dunderheaded decisions that the characters in this movie made. It's as if none of the characters had two brain cells to rub together. The dad's remarks to his 19 year old daughter were inappropriate. I really struggled to finish this no budget movie. The acting was subpar. The humor was sophomoric. . The plot was hackney and tried. There was zero suspense. It felt like a home movie made as a dare. Don't waste your time.

Give the actress deserves to be in more movies

The actress gave a truly exceptional performance, embodying her character with such authenticity that it felt as if the events were unfolding in real life. Her natural talent shone through every scene, drawing viewers into the emotional depth of the story. *Suburban Nightmare* excelled in building tension, creating an atmosphere of subtle dread that lingered long after the film ended. The fear it evoked was so palpable that it left me with nightmares about meeting new people. The direction and cinematography were masterfully executed, with every shot contributing to the film's immersive quality. The plot twist at the end was a stroke of brilliance, completely shifting the narrative in an unexpected yet satisfying way. I would give it a solid 9 out of 10 for its compelling performances, tight storytelling, and the sheer impact it had on me. It's a film that stays with you long after the credits roll.
