First of all, the anime is mainly about love between several high school students namely between Yukari Nejima (the main protagonist), Misaki Takazaki and Lilina Sanada. However, in this anime world, there's a BIG hurdle or plot twisting factor in this love story and that is the government's 'scientific partner choosing system.' Once reaching 16 years old of age, the government will choose one's life partner and it is a mandatory to follow this government's order. If it's not obeyed, there would be consequences.
Secondly, I don't want to spoil you guys of the intriguing story line, but all I can summarize from the series by reading the manga (because I can't wait to know what will happen to these adorable characters, YES I pushed myself to read the manga, THAT is how interesting the story is!), is that Nejima is constantly bombarded with events that are confusing him in choosing his life partner thus putting him in a situation in which whether he should be following his government's assigned life partner (Lilina Sanada) or not.
Nejima has been in love with his crush Takazaki since childhood but sadly weren't appointed with each other. Here comes the first mystery, when Nejima received his government's notice through his cell phone (with unknown interference plus which lasted just enough for him to read through the whole message before it turned off), it is stated there that his life partner would be his crush, Takazaki. However when the official document arrived, he found out that it contradicts with the message that he received earlier.
What's the answer to this mystery plus what will Nejima do? Who will he choose as his life partner? And if he chooses not to follow his government's order, what will happen to him and his assigned life partner? Let's find out together! :-)
Thirdly, there are also mysteries shrouding his love interest, Misaki Takazaki (or is it Takasaki? Anyway, moving on..:-)). THIS part, in my opinion is the most interesting and I REALLY MEAN INTERESTING part of the whole story! I can't wait to see the truth to be unfold behind the mysteries of Misaki Takazaki. This is the second time that I'm feeling REALLY REALLY curious of characters in an anime, next to Naruto's Uchiha Itachi.
Fourth, the comedy, drama and naughty scenes are all well balanced and well placed! It really hooks you in a good way, making the story light and easy. The story reminds me (well at least myself,) of the love stories of the 80's and 90's, it's got that 'fantasy and dreams come true' touch.
Fifth, for music, the opening and closing themes are okay.. The in-show songs are well placed and well conducted.
Well finally, all in all, I really recommend this anime to those drama with humour lovers. Although I'm actually an action and comedy genre lover, this anime REALLY piqued my interest, and IT IS WORTH watching!
The reason why I didn't give it a 10/10 is because of the waiting I have to endure in wanting to know who Yukari Nejima will choose as his life partner in the end, I really hope the story ends well. If it doesn't, well,.. I'd still give it a 9/10 because of the interesting story line! :-)
WARNING! If you're the type of person who is easily moved emotionally, be warned that there are several points in this anime that would really test you emotionally (in terms of sadness and feeling sorry), like myself. Make sure you have strategies to lighten up your mood and lift up your spirit afterwards.
My credits firstly goes to the Almighty God, thank you for bestowing the story's idea to it's author, Musawo Tsumugi. Secondly, to everyone who have dedicated their times in publishing the manga, translating them and in bringing the show to television. Many many thanks! This story really makes my everyday life more meaningful, by having something to look forward to from time to time. :-)
Have fun guys! And by the way, this is my first review! :-)

At first I was going to give it 10*. But the ending was not so good in my point though some might disagree. But I really enjoyed it. I don't know why this is so underrated.

If you love romantic genre, there is only one anime better than this, and that is Golden time. There is nothing else. I am not talking about slice of life, like clannad.. but entirely romantic anime. The story will take you in depth, but without much context. So its simple and pretty. The OP and ED are out of this world. The background music is addictive and beautiful is the word I can only say. The art is light, descriptive and quite colorful. The story is twisted and soft, which I love.
Overall a must watch.

To not spoil the concept was great but it just turned into a show where the writers contrived situations for the characters to kiss each other. Honestly a lot of the romance either had little build up or was straight up forced. Not going to mention that cringeworthy ending and the MC who just could not grow a spine and make up his mind.

Not a fanboy of these types of things. A friend of mine turned me on to Ninja Scrolls and I really loved that movie. I watched the TV series for that, and it wasn't near as good, but good enough. I accidentally left the credits roll to far and this TV series started playing on Amazon's auto-play feature.
Decided to give it a go.
Honestly fell in love with it. This coming from someone who loves Supernatural and Star Trek...
Characters were well fleshed out, the plot could be seen as slow, but it was exploring each characters desires and relationships. Some scenes honestly hit home for me, and I watched them over a few times.
The ending seems to be the issue and for me, it was perfect. I can't really get into it, that would require a semi-spoiler but I was very happy with the ending.
Hard to define things and how to end this review. It is not something I ever wanted to watch but halfway through the binge of the series, it went from a want to a need to watch the rest of this.
In another month or so I plan on watching it again. So worth it for me.
