I read the reviews and only one bad one, all the rest really good. Well the minority was so right. The plot is contrived, the acting is poor, I could hardly finish watching. And the boo-breakers or whatever they were called? Is this a cartoon? Completely ridiculous. I thought of writing a review saying that maybe if the actress who plays a director in the movie - and is called a good director - directed the movie, it would be a lot better. Then it turns out the actress who played the director in the movie WAS the director! NOT a good director.
Dog Park was a very sweet movie. The funny story of a geeky sweet nature guy trying to keep his self-centered/user girlfriend looking after her dog while she's on vacation with someone else
and then things get complicated!
Good cinematography, amazing music (70's vibe) and a diverse cast it a charming rom-com indie worth your time and money. I felt Jade Jenise Dixon was very convincing as "Jasmine" one the main leads and; Tennyson Shanahan as "Nick" did a great job (reminded me of Zach Woods in Silicon Valley).
I definitely enjoyed watching this Film and totally recommend it. Great job!

I'm not normally a rom-com type of guy but my girlfriend picked this one out the other night and I actually loved it. Probably because I'm a sucker for dog movies, lol. The acting was really good and the story was fun. I would actually watch it again if I were in a bad mood and needed a natural lift. .
Dog Park has an irresistible concept. A guy and girl meet cute at dog park. But the twist is, the guy's dog is actually his (not so nice) girlfriend's. Will the new girlfriend find out, and when she does, how will she react?
It's as breezy and likable as it sounds, and funny too, appealing to romcom aficionados and dog lovers alike. And I suspect there's some overlap between those two groups.
Director Jade Jenise Dixon also stars and she has real chemistry with her male lead. As director, she generously lets other actors shine. My favorite was Sarah Carson, who plays an older woman who hangs around the dog park though she doesn't own an animal, because dog spelled backwards is God. She dispenses much spot-on wisdom that helps bring our sweethearts together.
Very enjoyable romantic comedy that will put a smile on the face of all but the most jaded cynic.

Steer clear of this gut wrenching poorly witen and directed film. The only positive aspect of this film is the cinematography. Otherwise this overly predictable melodramatic film seems Petter suited as a parody of a romantic comedy with such poorly created story line.
