Much of the movie was improvised with actual people in their actual professions. For example, the taxi driver is an actual taxi driver Dana Goldberg had met before. Also, the entire interrogation was completely improvised, with the crew hiring an actual police interrogator to question Samira Saraya and leaving a camera to capture the entire session.
