A comedy filled fantasy film. Its definitely a perfect family entertainer. I found that the acting was not that great. A cast change would have been great. The storyline is super interesting. 2nd half was filled with comedy.
Overall a good movie
While the length of the film and its supposed sentiment towards the spiritual side may put you off a bit, there's still an exciting central plot hidden somewhere in the film that's not fully explored into. The comedy largely works because of its ridiculousness; the casting choices are sublime. Ramdoss, Anandaraj and Daniel Annie Pope fetch maximum points on hilarity. The short scene with M.S Bhaskar is a laugh riot (where he questions the gangster whose name is 'Twinkle Ramanathan' if he runs a play-school!). Cracks you up when Ramdoss tells his fellow spirits that the Black Nun from 'The Conjuring 2' is just a relative of theirs, hence there's no need to be scared of her, only to jump off the seat in sheer fright the very next second. More laughs emanate during the 'torture' scene.
The romance between Aadhi and Nikki is short-lived but how her character makes a return to the story is interestingly done. The scenes don't pack a punch as a coherent whole but are entertaining in bits and pieces. The climax sequence is also low on humor and more reliant on 'spirit-sentiment' and this works only in parts.
Still, there's plenty more fun to be had watching 'Maragadha Naanayam' than your typical (cliched) Tamil horror-comedy.

Comedy, Thriller, Mystery & lil of Amotion!! Fantastic Movie. Must watch with family also.
Good plot, liked the concept of curse on a ancient stone. Most importantly, the villain in this film is an old rusted truck, which reminds of a decade ago water lorries. Ramdoss(Munishkanth) has done his job extremely well. Climax is not that clear, could be expanded. I expected some terrific chasing scenes by villain (truck), but what available in scenes are usual boring runways.
