A favorite clip moment with B-52's

It was roaming around the world that The B-52's returned to the music scene in 1989 to close the decade which brought us the world so much joy during the period. And it's a return for them with the album "Cosmic Thing", their first without the presence of Ricky Wilson, who died in 1985. It was a hard walk back, one that almost didn't happened but they managed to conquer their fears and challenges, presenting the world with new hits which include "Roam" and "Love Shack". Both clips are great accomplishments in showing us how enthusiastic, lovely and happy they were about performing their new songs, and how to truly overcome a tragedy, showing that a band still exists. Might sound and look harsh but it isn't...the band still plays on despite the bumps, down's and out's.

Video's concept revolves around band members interacting with background images and archive footage's of populations and situations happening around the globe in many different countries. So, Cindy Wilson, Fred Schneider, Kate Pierson and Keith Strickland are having action and reactions with amusing images that appear in their background, such as tribes dancing or people canoeing down a river and etc, reflecting an ideal and positive way of living where you just set sail and travel all around the world, learning and having a great time. That's the clip spirit and band members surely act in a fantastic way to present such idea. It's hard to imagine any other concept and images to follow such a sweet and powerful song. Definitely one of my favorite moments in entertainment - though a pity they never made a clip to the extended version of the song, which is truly great.

Here's a band learning to fly again, taking risks, dusting themselves off from the ashes of pain and becoming the image they have always represented in their early years: colorful, fun and always relevant. 9/10
