Well worth watching. A reminder of the power of one of the greatest movies of all time. Tears were brought to my eyes.
I'd never even heard of this before and I just happened to see it on Netflix. At least they realize that Good the Bad and the Ugly is the cinematic masterpiece of Westerns. What an amazing film. Brilliantly scored by Ennio Morricone, one of the greatest composers of all time.
And wow, all the effort that was put in by true fans of the film, and the art...to restore this cemetery. Amazing.
And the contributions by James Hetfield. Ennio Morricone. and then.... a word from 'God' haha, Clint Eastwood himself.
What an amazing accomplishment for the fans of Good , Bad , Ugly and of Leone, Morricone and Eastwood, Van Cleef, and Wallach.

The effort, the passion - this is really so uplifting. I felt better after watching this film than for a long time just from the sheer joy and geekery of the film fans who made this happen. Great tale.
I took a star off for mild length and must admit I span through with fast forward like you do. Well it is a documentary not a narrative.
No real spoiler to say it contains a lot of facts about the original film and some of those were equally amazing and passion filled on the music, the film making and the scene setting. I'll have to seek out the good the bad and the ugly now and appreciate all those small details like its the first time over again.

I feel very much with the association and it is (to me) easy to understand why this is a heartfelt labor of love. The feeling of achievement must be strong, also in regards to the appreciation they got from the original involved.
I hope to visit the place, I knew it existed but I also thought it was in the state before restoration... now it is very much worth the visit.
The only gripe with the documentary is the space they give Hetfield and Metallica, of course as a sponsor he will be interviewed but giving him seemingly more space as an individual than the people that were there, the people conscripted to build the cemetery and the original editors? I don't know.

Many fans of the movie THE GOOD, THE BAD AND THE UGLY got together and spent their time clearing the site where the movie was originally filmed. They had to clear away 7 inches of dirt to reveal the center circle and put dirt on the graves to make them appear freshly dug. It looked like back breaking work but they managed to clear everything up and then film this great documentary. They made standees of the various characters from the movie so fans could take selfies with their heroes. Clint Eastwood made a short tribute clip which is shown in the movie. In order to raise money for the project, they "sold" name plates for each of the graves. Only TRUE Spaghetti Western fans would want their name displayed there. Someone should talk Mike Ferguson into getting his name on one of those crosses. If you like Spaghetti Westerns, you must see this Documentary. Larry Anderson.
