In an interview Rajkummar Rao said that this movie is Hansal Mehta's and his biggest and most important project.

Goofs
In one scene the main character is drawing points on a map and beside the map, there is a book "The Believer: How an Introvert with a Passion for Religion and Soccer Became Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, Leader of the Islamic State" was shown. The book was actually published in 2015 but the film's story is set in the early 90s.

Alternate versions
In India, the film was cleared with an A certificate, after a sequence showing Omar Sheikh urinating in prison while the Indian national anthem plays outside, was edited. The national anthem was replaced with a routine background music. Also, his violent sex scene with a woman before embarking on an operation was chopped off.

Yet again a masterpiece from Rao and Mehta sir

One of the very few movies that make you fall in love with the art of story telling. A perfect blend of natural acting, cinematography, music and showcase of real incidents doing complete justice to the main plot.
