The Miniaturist on Masterpiece Part 2

If Part one was Anya Taylor Joy's time to shine, this concluding episode was very much the time for Alex Hassell, his performance in this was superb, I've always been a fan of his since Bonkers, but in this he showed sincerity, strength and true talent, the court room scenes were incredible.

It's fair to say that The Miniaturist has been an odd drama, also fair to say it's probably marmite, people will either love, or hate it. I loved it, the story was so unusual, it went in a totally different direction to the one I was expecting, it held my attention throughout, it even made me think about the true concept of love, as it was very much a love story, with a difference.

I wishes this second part had also been ninety minutes, there was definitely enough material. This was a real treat. 9/10

To say something after the second part is unfair or only not so easy. Because the admiration remains the basic state. A new discover of the special novel, the admirable performances, the high care for details, the powerful message, the delicate - fascinating job of Emily Berrington, the final , absolutely regal of photography and something remaining out of words. And that is all.
