    Sami Khan is brilliant!

I watched this drama because I recently became Sami's fan. One thing I have to say is I love his dedication to his work and how he changed the look for this drama really suited his character. Sami looked hot and loved his character (a bad-body type yet caring in the inside - damn! it suited him so much!). He played the character so well! Watch it for Sami if not anything else :) The story is awesome and dialogues are good too! Mantasha and Shaheer's chemistry is to die for! Love how the drama ended. I can't stop watching Sami and Mantasha's scenes specially the scene where Shaheer (Sami) is yelling at Mantasha (Rabab). He killed it with his outstanding acting abilities! Sami can do any type of acting, I swear - the emotions he showed - ie. he felt pain and didn't want to say all that but he had to say it. Loved the drama! Thank you GEO for casting Sami and Rabab together!

Sami Khan at his best as Shaheer Sikander

Shaheer is one of my favorites too! I love men with a troubled past, the insensitive personality, the attitude and hard exterior underneath which he hides all his emotions. This was one of reasons that attracted me to shaheer as soon as he was introduced in the drama. Sami was excellent as Shaheer, from the physique, the wardrobe, the hairstyle, to the body language, the mannerisms, he BECAME Shaheer and no pakistani actor could've done justice to the character as much as he did! The lanky look suited the role he played, the bandana with the long hair adding to the uniqueness of the character. I also loved the attire, those white casual pants with t shirts and the boat shoes made him look cool. When I first watched piya Mann bhaye, I couldn't believe it's sami playing it and had to go back and look at the names of the cast, that's how much he transformed into Shaheer, making him almost unrecognizable. I didn't see even a glimpse of Sami, it was just Shaheer throughout the series, that's how good he was! When he was introduced, I knew Shaheer was a party loving, flirt, alcoholic who wants to enjoy life to the fullest, and hesitant about making any commitments. But, the day after his wedding, when he told mantasha he "hates women who cry" I knew he had some psychiatric issues, some sort of childhood abuse that he had never told anyone. All his feelings locked up inside, he did not let anyone enter his heart, not even his closest friends; because he was scared of getting hurt again. In mantasha he found someone he was attracted to initially, then became an obsession, a dare to conquer no matter what, not knowing she has the key to his heart. Mantasha captured his heart like no one else could, which made him even more angry because the more impudent he was towards her, the more he ended up hurting himself in the process. He would try to make her jealous, eliciting any reaction from her not knowing she was getting under her skin. Mantasha's character that moved the story forward, and he revealed to her his deepest, darkest secrets that he had not told anyone before her. It was at this time, Shaheer's character took a U turn and he was much more relaxed and comfortable around Mantasha. He was insecure too, couldn't fathom that Mantasha could love HIM, and it was this insecurity that made him believe what Shaista Aunty said leading to the most beautiful scene of the entire series. Sami, you were absolutely brilliant in that scene, the pain that Shaheer must have felt when he said "lekin is dil main mere lye koi jagah naheen" was evident in your eyes, expression and voice. His realization of his love for Mantasha was portrayed without over the top dialogues or scenes and Sami didn't over do it either. Shaheer's character was extremely well written taking care of minute details and the "angry, tough" man from outside who only wants to be loved from inside was enacted exceptionally well, with vivid details and Sami played it with utmost intensity that was required of this role. No doubt, without Sami there would have been no Shaheer!
