Counterfeiters

Great movie, and made for about $5k! No really... after renting the boat and the Porsche it was probably more like $10k. Goes to show that you don't need to print money or hire big names to make a great movie. Noticed that a lot of the actors were family, which made it more impressive. Original concept and script. Very well made and very suspenseful! I'd love to see what these guys could do with a real budget, say $50k!!!

Strange acting; main actor's hair flips are excessive; poor editing..

I saw this movie at AOF film festival while I was visiting Las Vegas. The crowd all approached the director at the end of the movie to congratulate him on an outstanding film.

After speaking to the director himself, what shocked me was his ability to put together such a high-quality film with an extremely low budget, gathering support from his own friends and family, each molded and directed by Mr. Hirschberg to play an excellent role in the film.

Counterfeiters didn't fail to leave me on the edge of my seat, as I even screamed out during one of the many exciting turning points in the film. The ending was outstanding and unexpected. The drama/thriller was well acted, and very well written. And on top of it all, I found myself caring about what happened to the characters and their well-being. Definitely a must-see!
