Wow, such a simple and sweet movie with an easy narration which is high on emotional quotient. Director Prakash Kunte brings to us a story set in early post-independence era, from a small village in Konkan. This is a story about Keshav an astrologer who owns a unique cycle presented to him by his grandfather. His love for the cycle is unbreakable and he would do anything to take care of it. Because of his cycle and his love for it and, for being a very good human being, he's very popular in his village and the areas nearby. What happens when his cycle gets stolen by two thieves and how the thieves get treated because of their theft is what you'll get to see in this movie.
I'd seen work of Hrishikesh Joshi in Breathe and Poshter Boys recently. He's a wonderful actor and very pleasant to watch. If such is going to be his choice of movies then I'm sure I'd be going to watch his movies without giving a second thought. Amazing work. The other two main characters, the thieves, Gajya and Mangya are played by Bhalchandra Kadam and Priyadharshan Jadhav. These two also have done a wonderful job. Although, I thought Bhalchandra Kadam a.k.a Bhau Kadam was underutilized. He's one amazingly funny guy and can have you in splits by his dialogue delivery and acting.
Cinematography by Amalendu Chaudhary is wonderful. I tend to usually love the visuals when Marathi movies are set in the rurals. It really brings out the beauty of Maharashtrian villages in a superb manner.
One of the very few glitches I noticed was a concrete road in a scene on a bridge. Pretty sure there weren't concrete roads in that era. But these issues are so negligible compared to the overall emotional impact the movie will have on you. Brilliant work Team - CYCLE. Loved this movie and looking forward to more of such movies. Content-driven Marathi cinema has truly evolved a lot.

A very well told story. It's amazing how much a simple topic can resonate.

What a beautiful piece of cinema this is ?
Brings out the quintessential beauty of Konkan and the simple way of living.
Transformed me to my childhood days (like not many art forms are capable of doing). Truly coming to age of Marathi cinema
This movie sticks to its core. The acting is superb and none of the character overshadow other
