Varun Thakur: Vicky This Side, Varun That Side

Just finished watching Varun Thakur's performance on Amazon Prime Video...again!

What appeals to you the most is, the humour & fun he brings to fore while playing two very different characters. One, of a young guy, who observes real life situations & creates slapstick humour out of them.

It's, however, his alter ego, 'Vicky Malhotra' who steals the show. Vicky is characterised as a person, who comes from an affluent family and he can afford to form his own perception of reality, irrespective of what the status quo & prevailing norms actually are, in reality. The way he lets this out to the audience, they're bound to be left in splits

CAUTION: Watch his gig, but beware, after the whole performance, you are very likely to have aching cheekbones & tears in your eyes, caused due to extreme laughter!

It was a really enjoyable special in the first half, but as soon as Varun turned to his alter ego Vicky, it became awful.

I would pay to watch Varun again but will not watch Vicky even for free.

I recommend skipping the second half.

Idk about other people but I enjoyed it.Varun Thakur is a genius. He balanced between himself and his Alter Ego(Vicky Malhotra) pretty well Fantastic.But If I had to choose between the two.Varun has the edge over his Alter Ego.Its a great time pass.You might comeback for Varun.

The only reason I came to watch is when it showed up on Facebook as a clip and expected it that it would be hilarious the same way the entire show but I was wrong. Looks like he forgot the comedy in the make up room with Varun character. Just waited for second half to be over for a long time so that I can tell myself yes!!!! I have watched something completely since I subscribed to Amazon paying $100.

Stand up comedy is gaining much more popularity in India. Amazon Prime has taken this art to another level by introducing Stand Up special Column.

I have been To Neville Shah's What are you laughing at live comedy but I was completely disappointed! When I saw Varun's "Vicky This Side, Varun That Side" I became a fan of this person. Earlier, I used to hate Varun but when I saw his performance for this show, I was stunned! Every single joke worked well. Vicky segment was hilarious but Varun's segment shared some true facts which we all faces in our daily lives.

I hope to see more such amazing comedy by Varun!
