    NOT THAT BAD

Not that bad but over rated. I would have given it 6 but the ending is so damn guessable...Nevertheless is much better than many other romantic comedy that my wife made me watch.

One of the best out there.

This is truly one of the best Filipino Romance movies. Remarkable acting, exceptional storytelling, brilliant storytelling and an outstanding ending. This is not your typical love story. Bravo to the team behind this.

A Funny and Painful Movie that so much appreciated

This movie shows the abilities and skills of the characters because Alessandra De Rosi and Empoy known as joker but then in the movie you saw their love for their job and their passionately hug their character on the movie that's why the movie get's high gross or ratings.

For the story of this movie, it is so funny and painful because in this they show on how to gives smile and hope to a person who is hopeless because of her circumstances in life because in this movie we saw that Alessandra De Rosi is blinded but the man which is Empoy is always helping her and love her with no doubt in his heart.

It has many lessons like everybody should be loved and treat equally even what they are and learn to appreviate to something or someone.

For the place of the movie it is good that they try something new place to shoot not only here in the Philippines but then they take shootings to Japan and for me it is not a very common place that always taking shooting.

For the whole movie. I loved it very much and I am waiting for the second chapter of this movie. I hope it will have.

Do you see me? Do you like me? Do you like me standing there? - The Cranberries, probably

Kita Kita (I See You) is a wildly successful rom-com indie movie starring Alessandra De Rossi and Empoy Marquez. Had it been released in the 2016 edition of the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF), it would have been in good company with many regarding it as the best roster of the festival in recent years. It was pulled out because of additional re-editing that needs to be done. Released seven months after, the producers were only hoping to breakeven amidst expectation of next day pullouts from the cinemas. P320 million after and dislodging 'Heneral Luna' as the most successful independent film, it even has inspired an Indonesian version. With the idyllic Sapporo as background, the sunshine-y disposition of Lea (De Rossi) becomes clouded when she suffers from temporary blindness due to extreme stress. Her neighbor Tonyo (Marquez) insistently tries to befriend her and being the only two Pinoys in the area, one can't help but give in which opened up a whole new world for her even if she's going to places she's already been to, not even seeing a single thing due to her affliction. De Rossi took on the role because she wanted to do something "light", having been associated mostly with heavy drama. Marquez was charming as the never-say-die suitor, effectively showing us that personality trump looks, and sense of humor is the way to a woman's heart. The only issue that needs to be discussed is the stalking part. While yes Tonyo had good intentions, some would argue that the end doesn't justify the means. Others will say there's nothing different from what Tonyo did when compared to someone who would camp out on a person's social media platforms. In fact, privacy in this interconnected world has devolved from being a reality to a concept. During the last flashback scenes, there was a mixed feeling of unease and comfort. Wherever you may side about this, it's never wrong to show kindness especially to those who need it whether they see that they need it or not.

Great drama that breaks the mold

To be fair, I haven't seen many foreign films (I'm from the US), but this is something special, and not like too many other films I've seen.

Without spoiling anything, I will simply say that this is a film with a distinct and consistent style, which is very refreshingly different from most romance films. It is ultimately a very nice drama, and well told at that! Yes, it's a romance but it makes for an interesting watch even if the viewer was looking for an interesting drama.

The casting here is excellent, and I was struck by the captured realism depicted from the very first couple scenes, which merely depict the primary character as a regular person with a regular story. The story is character-focused, and it is quite satisfying to watch it all play out.

I can easily recommend this film to anyone.

This is the third movie which is produced by also known Filipino actor Piolo Pascual after his first dibs in movie-producing for Eugene Domingo's hit movie series "Kimi Dora". This is his second movie however, that is shot outside the Philippines - the first one was Kimi Dora and the Temple of Kiyeme which was shot in South Korea. Kita-kita (I See You) was entirely shot in Japan.
    • Goofs
There's a scene where Tonyo is having a selfie with a can of beer. When he viewed the pictures, the phone is oriented in portrait but when the shot changes the phone becomes landscape.
