Story of the rebels to fight against the Panchayat System of the country and bring Democracy. Plot is very good along with the legendary cast of great contributors for the industry. Screenplay and dialogues are so much heart touching that you may not be able to hold your tears. This a tribute to those martyrs who gave up their life fighting for the freedom and those who disabled their bodies. If you are a Nepali, then you must watch this movie.

For me, it the greatest movie ever to be made in Nepalese film industry and it is great achievement for legendary director Tulsi Ghimire and legendary actors Hari Bansha Acharya, Nir Shah and Madan Krishna Shrestha. This movie is 'Once in a generation' kind of movie.

This movie portrays the struggle to bring democracy in Nepal. Hari Bansha Acharya, the main lead in the movie is a rebel who is fighting against the corrupt Panchayat system. Nir Shah plays as a police office who is loyal to Panchayat system. He might seem like a villain at first but he is a very good person from heart. Madan Krishna Shrestha plays as retired military personnel who helps the rebel by teaching them fighting techniques.

Sadly, as said in the movie by Madan Krishna Shrestha (Retired army person in the movie), the rebels become corrupt once they reach the power. And it has become a reality now. Truth is Nepal needs yet another struggle. Nepal fought against corrupt panchayat system; now it needs to fight against the corrupt government system.

In a world where the fight for justice and freedom is a constant battle, "Balidan" serves as a poignant reminder that hope and determination can triumph against all odds. It is a testament to the power of storytelling and the ability of cinema to ignite social change.
