'Turf War' aka 'Lady Rider' is the type of bad movie that will identify where you sit when it comes to this niche genre. If you require bigtime laughs or a healthy mix of the right elements in your bad movies to be entertained you're gonna be sorely disappointed. This should only be sought out by those who have an appreciation for boredom and pain.
Det. Rodriquez (Alex Maisonette) watches as an ongoing war between powerful drug dealers ran by Flash (Fat Joe) and a biker gang amps up. As a crew of dirty cops lead by Sgt. Rivera (Damien Borges) are slowly consolidating power. While Lady Rider (Veronica Ramos) seeks revenge when a friend is killed.
All the symptoms of ultra low budget fare can be found here and it all starts with a flat and somewhat disjointed overwritten story. Plenty of adlibbed dialog by its cast. Laughable news reports throughout. Pics hung in someone's house to pass off a spare room as a police office or courtroom. Guerilla filmmaking sees car license plates and faces not associated with the pic blurred out. CGI gunfire and info dump scenes to move the story ahead as if excitement hadn't already died almost as soon as this started. Nearly two hours long yet has the gall to end on a cliffhanger sequel smelling note too.
'Turf War' not only holds the distinction of being a really bad movie, but also a vanity project from director / writer / star Alex Maisonette who wants you to take his drama seriously. Rapper Fat Joe gets top billing, but in dtv cheap b-movie fashion has minimum screen time. Please do not waste your time with this wreck.

Nothing is sacred in this film, it makes a spectacle out of not only very serious matters to the point of being sickly comedic but also shows a lack of convincingness when it comes to the different industries that are included in the film. The acting is amateurish and even the synopsis of the film is extremely misleading.
I have seen a LOT...I mean a LOT of bad movies, but HOLY CRAP...this HAS to rank near the top of one of the worst movies of ALL TIME! I'm guessing that there wasn't even a script because the dialogue seems SO improvised and incoherent for 90% of this train wreck that nobody could have even written it that poorly! If you can watch this movie for FREE...do it! It might help to be a little buzzed up while you watch this mess of a movie. There is NO WAY that anyone should PAY to see this. So...if you can view it at no cost to you or others,I GUARANTEE that you will be laughing so hard that you may (unfortunately) have to watch it twice to see what you missed the first time around while you were wiping the tears from your eyes.
