Bloody Shadow

I deeply appreciate the non-logic,m emphasis on images of Italian horror movies, especially in the hands of master directors at their best (Argento, Fulci) but this is a travesty, Incoherent, uninteresting and - worst of all - BORING. Avoid this turkey if you value your time or are simply seeking good entertainment.

At the time I watched "Bloody Shadow," it had a rating of 6.2 with 42 people offering their quiet input and only two brave souls had taken the time to actually write a review...and they both hated it. Still, I was hopeful.

But those two people were right. It stunk. And I fully concur that the main problem is that it is incredibly, terminally, BORING. Yeah, among the non-literary reviewers were some who rated this poorly acted, meandering piece of Italian soap operatic snooze fest with 10s, skewing the rating system and fooling people into thinking this is a much better film that it portends to be. So I'm joining the other two folks who gave their thoughts so you can get a little more balanced insight.

I tried really hard to follow the story, but gosh it was all OVER the place, with revolving characters, time sequences and plot holes. The production values were passable but nothing overwhelming, and although it's an Italian production, it's in English (not American English, but English English). I don't know if it's dubbed, and trying to find any actual information about the film on the internet is a dead end. I was hoping to discover some explanations and reasonings, but you're kind of left up to your own interpretation. That's usually a good thing...unless you need a GPS device to find your way to the nearest plot device.

It's possible that I'm being slightly too harsh on the rating with a 2 (as opposed to a 3), but in fairness to potential viewers thinking this is anything over a 5, I feel fine about it.
