To all the other reviews calling this show out for being over the top and that it's acting is ridiculous... I think people don't see that that's part of its charm! The stupid jokes and overacting ARE the show!!
Yes it's silly and dumb, but I enjoy these kinds of shows once in a while just to laugh.
I th know this show is actually pretty good. Most shows take a few episodes to find their feet and I hope this one sticks around long enough to find them. The leads are charming and, yes, the acting is a bit over the top but it is a sit-com after all.
Definitely give it a chance.
I don't know why people are so irritated about this series, it is a fun show! yes, the plot might be too basic for some people but it does not make this show any less funny. the characters are lovely, jokes are of course very Mindy Kaling-y which i will never complain about. come on, just give this a try!
After a wobbly start, this series is beginning to find its footing and actually be funny, while at the same time finding some heart.
It's done this by letting Michael actually be a kid, albeit a precocious one, and letting Vince actually exhibit some character growth. And by letting Matthew be Matthew. The humor relies less on glib one-liners and more on the situations they find themselves in.
But it sure took the writers/producers a while to figure this out and I fear they may have lost the audience.

When I saw Anders, with a hard An from Workaholics was in a new show with Mindy of the Mindy Project I thought I had hit the jackpot but this show is a little lost and the child actor portraying a young homosexual Indian boy (played by Josie Totah) is unloveable and comes across as far too obnoxious and too much of a know-it-all.
Anders and Mindy are good in this and the supporting cast isn't bad either (I think I love Dana - played by Ginger Gonzaga) but the kid is irritable, comes across as very obnoxious and arrogant and simply isn't loveable. I think with a more loveable, less know-it-all homosexual child this could have been a good show and allowed for a lot more humour derived from that part. I understand what they were trying to do and the subject material does give them a lot of interesting story lines that other shows wouldn't be able to do and I would love to know what others thought but I just didn't like the child at any stage even after finishing the entire first (and likely only) series.
