I generally do not like sit-coms these days as too many rely on formulaic structure, lazy writing and/or crude humor (I'm looking at you, Two Broke Girls), but I find Me, Myself and I promising.
I don't recall ever seeing a show with this concept, simultaneously depicting a character's life in three different time periods; the premise itself caught my attention enough to give it a go.
Kudos to the casting department who assembled a great group. While others have criticized the height discrepancy between the two adult Alexes, I think it's brilliant.
I look forward to seeing what's in store.
P.S. A special note to the network-type people: stop killing shows before they can get their foot hold. Remember ... Cheers was 74th out of 77 shows its first season and went on to be one of the most popular series of ALL TIME.

10TV guide
If this were just about a 14-year-old budding inventor who has to switch to a new school, it would be a good show about the awkward life of a teen. But by adding the scenes about two later periods in his life, raising his daughter after his divorce at 40 and reconnecting with a lost love after his retirement at 65, they have added poignancy that raises it to a level beyond mere comedy.
The only problem I have with it is that so far, the 40-year-old does not seem to have the same personality as the 14-year-old and the 65-year-old, and this seems to me to be the weakest part of the show. But we'll see.

I watched a lot of TV series in this genre, but this is just exceptional. Every time i watch one of the episodes i feel different but all good feelings as if this was made to fill people with only good feelings and the way that its plot has been created shows us clearly that it is a work of masters. It is an awesome TV series and you can watch it alone or with someone or with your family. At the end of each episode you will see things differently and you will learn to never take anything for granted!
This TV is much better than I expected it to be. The 1991 time period is certainly the most interesting and well-done in my opinion, but the middle aged and aging Alex both have much to add to the story as well. The story is refreshing and true to life as there are certainly disheartening moments in Alex's life, but there is always a shred of hope in any situation. I also love the fact that they didn't fall for the stepfather trope, and that Alex and him have a beautiful relationship. The standout is certainly Jack Dylan Grazer as Alex and I hope we can see him in more in the future!
This sitcom was the best show of the 2017 Fall season. It was funny, and well written. The cast was perfect for this type of show. I was expecting it to run for at least 4 or 5 years. I hope Netflix, Amazon or Apple will buy the rights and make it the next Big Bang Theory success.
