When I first saw this episode, I had me interested and I did enjoy the pilot. But the episodes after that usually ranged from average to awful with few good ones. I quite like the characters but there was a lack of development although this show only lasted for one season.
The animation does look cheap which is a shame since I really like flash animation style and can be wonderful to look at when done right, I feel a lot of the stories have potential but are never used in that way.
This show had potential but was held back by the writing team and subpar animation.
This show is extremely bland and generic. When I first heard this was made by Butch Hartman, I was pretty shocked to hear that the guy who made The Fairly OddParents and Danny Phantom, managed to make such a forgettable, one-dimensional show, featuring a concept that's been done hundreds of times before.
The animation is lazy, even for Flash. The characters have no personality and they all fall into stereotypes, that we've seen many times before. Unlike with FOP and DP, we get no introduction to the show, and no explanation as to how Bunsen came to be and how he entered the life of Mikey. The first episode just starts, with them already being friends, expecting the audience to just accept the fact that a boy is friends with a monster.
The main villain, Amanda, is very dull and her main goal is to get rid of Bunsen. Her motive to do this is unclear and apparently non-existent. Every character plays the role of someone like the villain, comic relief, best friend, love interest, etc. but none of them do anything new with it. Every episode is just as bland as the characters, lacking any intriguing stories or funny jokes.
I find it amazing that such a bland show came from such an amazing writer. At least most of the time, when good writers go bad, you can tell they're at least trying to do something new. This time, it seemed like he just came up with the idea off the top of his head and produced the overall, idea for the series in a couple minutes. Bunsen is a Beast is a very mediocre and unfunny show and if you gave it a chance, you'd find yourself bored to death, halfway through the first episode.

This show is pretty good, but I do think it could've been a bit better. I do really like the two main characters, Bunsen and Mikey, as they are funny and always look out for each other. However there are some issues here.
The main villain is very cliche and she also doesn't really have a reason to be evil other than because she can. Also, while the voices do fit the characters, they get very loud and annoying at times. Some of the jokes are too random and ridiculous. Random does not equal funny. However, there are still good jokes here. The animation also isn't the best, but Flash/digital animation is the new standard at this point, so no point in complaining over it.
Those are the flaws, but here are some of the good things. A good thing about this show is that it doesn't have a lot of gross out humor like some other Nicktoons in the past. (eg. Sanjay and Craig, Breadwinners, Fanboy and Chum Chum) Like I stated above, I really like Bunsen and Mikey as characters. The plot is good, with the villain wanting to get rid of the titular character for being a beast and not a human, and I like that this show teaches kids a good lesson about including others, even if they are different.
I don't really understand why this show was canceled after only one season? I didn't watch this show until recent but it was pulling pretty good views when it first released.
What could've been better: get rid of the random and loud jokes, make the villain have a better reason for being evil, and polish the animation a bit.
Overall, 7/10, this show is pretty good, I think all the good outweighs the bad, and you should definitely give this show a shot.

This show sucks big time, butch hartman created a great shows like fairly odd parents, danny phantom and many more, even today nickelodeon has a decent shows like The Loud House, the new spongebob(from season 10, even that is not great as the old seasons), Robot and Monster, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and many more from the 2010s
in the other hand, there are new awful shows on nick like this show, Rainbow Butterfly Unicorn Kitty that is even worst that this,ALVINNN!!! and the Chipmunks that is less awful but still bad, Breadwinners is awful but less than this, Sanjay and Craig again less awful but still very bad.
nickelodeon need to get back with great shows and return many great shows that cancelled, there are so much that i can't say all of them
now they have only spongebob that the new seasons less good that the previous seasons , The Loud House if fine but the rest is bad.
i expect the new movie of spongebob very much
it looks very good at least in the description of the film.
