V. I. P." is an impressive action crime thriller, which includes all elements that made the genre a huge success internationally.
I mean the main antagonist is indeed a serial killer, so why not? It was more like a political drama with some action thriller. The cast was well-chosen and I have no complaints about their acting. I am still not sure what role the CIA plays in the movie. Why are they involved?
Lee Jong Suk's characters have surprisingly few lines throughout the film. I heard he is really shy in real life, but villainous characters really suit him, to be honest. Looking forward to seeing him playing more challenging characters in the future.
I would recommend this film if you prefer something dark and twisted. Happy watching.

South Korean movie industry produces one of the finest movies, especially action thrillers and this one is no exception. Even though a one time watch, offers one of the best action scenes, screenplay, direction, dialogues. Nail biting thriller you are looking for. Highly Engaging and serves the purpose that is entertainment.
V. I. P. Is a decent action-crime film, but it suffers from a confusing structure and superficial character development.
The story is intriguing and has great potential, but unfortunately, the unclear motivations and relationships of the characters (especially the North Korean and South Korean agents) make it hard to connect emotionally.
Additionally, the slow pace and ambiguity in the first half create a jarring contrast with the relentless, fast-paced action of the second half.
Lee Jong-suk's performance as a cold, dangerous psychopath is truly commendable and the film's highlight.
Overall, despite its fresh premise and strong performances, the film fails to reach its full potential due to weak narrative direction and a rushed screenplay.
