I watched this with anticipation, as well as enjoyment. I will watch it a third time. Wish I could buy it and other serial of Kingone Wang.
Just watched this on Netflix. This was not my first experiences with Asian drama. But it has become my favorite drama in any language!
The actor, known as Kingone, is a very talented artist. His was a very sensitive portrayal of a depressed and handicapped individual. He is charming and caused me to search out all his other roles available through other forums like Rakuten Viki, Asian Crush etc.
The play writers developed his character nicely with progression slowly toward hope in touching and believable ways. I loved that there were no long drawn out misunderstandings to drag down the main story. I grew a little impatient with some of the side stories, a hazard of Taiwan drama, but watching Wang made the wait worthwhile.
The soundtrack was lovely. I found almost all of it on i-tunes by copying and pasting the Chinese Characters, I had to that point only spoken read and understood english.
Perhaps the plot was old (or tried and true), but the writing and direction and especially acting in this piece of art made up for any shortcomings otherwise.
Because of this series I am learning Mandarin, searching the history and culture of the Chinese people.
What an awful production. This series was poorly written. The acting is unbelievably inane and unconvincing. The main female character, Yati (played by Lorene Ren) was portrayed as a simpleton- incredibly immature and downright annoying. The male lead (Kingone Wang) was longsuffering of all the irritating, fawning females who shamelessly pursued him.
There were some characters who made the series bearable, namely: Mom Chen, FeiFei, William and even the villain of the series - Boyan. The music was more memorable than the series. My advice: Don't waste your time!
One of the best Taiwanese romances I have seen.
Kingone, is a very talented actor. His is a most sensitive portrayal of a handicaped man who is wrestling with guilt and depression.
The soundtrack was beautiful.

Watching this over and over again will never get old...the story impacts mw to this day 3 years later
