This does proper service to Constantine, as how his world should be portrayed. Complete opposite of what had been the neutered vision presented in the live-action tv series ( and probably will continue to be in whichever major network pickup in the future) .
No forced heavy accents, no unnecessary love interests, and plenty of gore and blood. Would had been R rated if it was live-action, and an R that is much much stronger than that of Deadpool.

This series is about Constantine, a sorcerer in the DC universe. In this series the main protag accepts a job that results in him delving into the world which our hero Constantine lives in within the world of the DC universe.
This series is different from your typical DC series. there is no "costumed heroes" or "big baddie" but instead demons, angels, and lots of other supernatural stuff. There is also a twist on it, being that you wont find your typical "boo's" and such. Instead you'll see fleshed out characters and an interesting story arc that branches out as each episode unfolds.
Humans are not the focus in this series, instead the focus of the series is on the supernatural aspects of it, like the magic and mythical creatures and such. It's a good series and it's clearly a risk for DC to branch out to such a series that is completely out of the normal formula for them. But it's a risk that was worth taking for them as the quality is superb and the world it's building within the already established universe explains alot more than what the other series did for the supernatural aspect of the DC universe.
If you're a fan of magic and supernatural stuff but still love that DC style, this series is for you. But even if it's not, I'd still suggest watching it. It's pretty good. The biggest fault of this series though is that it's way to short and the episodes end on cliff hangers all the time. It would of been better if they just made this into a movie or even hour long episodes instead of 10 minute long ones.

Warner brothers never cease to amaze me. They treat these films as if they are a necessity rather than a pleasure and they don't realise that they have gold in their hands. If they were just willing to make the films a but longer, maybe two hours, who knows what they could make.
This was some of if not THE best work ive seen in a literal decade from DC animation.
Its made for the growing audience which is has to start recognising. many of us are in our 20's even 30's now and we still love watching the old justice league and batman series and all the films. But to grow with your audience is so important to keep the brand really alive. Produce adult content in animation next to content made for kids. You can do both and this little series proves it 100%
