Malkia and Elizabeth are shown a piece of land left to them by their late husband. Neema tries to convince the rest of the kids that the house-help left in charge is actually a thief, even as she lays on the charm, especially on the boys.

The grandparents visit. Malkia and Elizabeth work hard to please their mother-in-law while Jayson and Hodari get a lesson in manhood from their grandfather.

Elizabeth tussles with a vengeful neighbor after Hodari breaks a window with his catapult. Jayson is blamed for the act and he seeks his revenge against Hodari. Meanwhile, Imani takes her little sisters out - to her new boyfriend's house.

The bills are piling. The girls get sent home for not paying school fees. Elizabeth pays a visit to the Principal to sort that mess out. Malkia blesses the house, and Jayson and Imani try their hands at a salon business.

Malkia and Elizabeth both crush on a new neighbor, while Imani helps Jayson get ready for an audition.

On this very special Merry Chrismas, the family remembers.

It's BACK TO SCHOOL DAY, which, of course, is a day of headaches for the two Manosi mothers. Lily is embarrassed by her mother who shows up to school to work in order to pay off her school fees and therefore tries to sabotage her work. Malkia meanwhile must deal with a truant Neema, and with Imani, who, though out of school still has a lot to learn about boys and such. Or so Malkia thinks. And Hodari meets his match.

Like father, like son? Jayson invites over two girls for some studying and Imani doesn't like it. Meanwhile Malkia and Elizabeth try to prepare Neema and Lily respectively for a talent show. And Hodari defies gravity.
