I don't mean your Hulu Watch List, I mean a potential threats list.
Anyone can leave a disclaimer at the beginning of a movie and say it was partially made to raise awareness for something - but this entire "movie" was an obviously socially unhinged manchild awkwardly living out his fantasies on film, thinking it was award-winning amazing.
There was only premise, no plot. There was no actual back and forth dialogue, there was only different people saying lines out loud. There was no acting, so that wasn't what he wanted to showcase. It wasn't the special effects and chase scenes that he wanted to show off. There was no horror, only awkward squealing while people tolerated this guy playing dress-up, playing with his fun new voice distortion toy and dancing around like he thought he was a pretty pretty princess.
The only thing more dangerous than the genius level methodical/strategic serial killers out there are the narcissistic man boys playing pretend and desperately trying out to live out their fantasies with an audience. Why? Because they snap when they don't get recognition for being the gods they vehemently know they are - and then, in a fit of rage at the injustice of the world not agreeing with their narcissism, they actually run breathy, sweaty and wobbling out into the night to do the things they always dreamed about doing to all those women that rejected them, but with none of the intelligence, restraint or psychosis of their heroes.
Because that's what this was. This wasn't a horror movie. It was Nigel Hartwell badly, embarrassingly copycatting his heroes and someone needs to tag a gps on that boy.
*Apologies if he/him is not their chosen pronoun.

Obviously the producer's barely disguised fetish with use of racial slurs, terrible dialogue, sex over horror, terrible special effects, etc, etc.
This is terrible and I just hope this gets lost and no one watches it accidently, the story makes no sense and seems like a poor excuse for the actor who plays "Chuck" to grab the breasts of the actresses, the story is too static and only takes place in the cabin for the majority of the time, I got nothing much else to say it was just maybe a waste of time either maybe worth it for how bad it actually was, I can't decide much on it and that's a problem.

This is not a film , it's amateur art project , without any art ...How did it get high rating ??? Watched it because of that ... Mistake ... One of the worst eve ... Avoid !
Don't expect to see memorable kills or blood with this one. Overall, Demented has a very interesting story that could have been something a lot more than what it is if they would have embraced the snuff angle a little more. The snuff angle paints scenes of gore and mayhem for most horror fans but in Demented we get a masked man and a woman tied to a bed while not so vile or vulgar things are said to them. The killer is very underwhelming and the paranormal portion of the film lacks atmosphere and tension for it be effective. I respect the hard work that went into this one but I'm not a fan. As always, you should make up your own opinion about the film and not let my review do that for you.
It is clear that the guy who left the previous review didn't watch the film or is just someone that likes leaving bad reviews on everyone's films. Demented is not a documentary, it's a retro style horror film. It's worth a watch. Leave your comments on what you think about it!
