This movie is not only great because the both leads Travis Tope and Katherine Hughes are great as well as Michelle Forbes as the mother.
It is great because it is more than "just" another coming of age story. When it starts you think you know where this is going. The shy underdog making a move on the popular pretty girl and then the plot will surprise you.
It is heartfelt movie with timeless themes like loss, family, parenthood and love. But what will stick with you is one important message. One that is so current in an age where everything is based on performance, everything is rated, everything is about eating better, walking more steps and optimizing everything you do at any given time so basically no room for failure, mistakes and struggle. And that message as Travis Tope's character will say is: "It is ok that we don't have all the answers".

This movie felt me like it's real in every way. Story is fairly realistic. I was sick of youth movies that everyone in it is throwing parties and they are sure about the life and seem they know everything what's coming. The girl character made me feel so sad. I just wanted to hug her and he hugged her as well in the end. It's a tv movie but it has more in it than a regular tv stuff should have.
Life is full of deep questions. This movie asks the deepest to these young-adults who are barely equipped to answer any of them, and a few adults who want to know the answers just as badly. This movie askes, What if we can't find an answer? And answers it with a beautiful song. I hope it's good enough!
