I wanted to like the movie but it was hard

I watched this because of Laurence Arne, Dany Boon's new girlfriend. One cannot help notice how much she looks like Judith Godreche. Anyway. Beautiful actress with a fiery character. The problem lies with the script. I think everyone plays well, even the kids, but the story is linear, over the top, the dialogues are lazily written. Maude's swearing is extremely violent and vulgar. Adrien smokes all the time. Very little character development, everyone is very stereotyped, it just feels like lazy work.

If you are looking for a movie to enjoy and laugh for a while, this is a good option.

Not Good Enough

French romantic comedy '' Daddy Cool '' is about an immature man who starts a preschool to annoy and prove to his wife that he is capable after she asks for a divorce.

The movie has a nice story, or at least, a nice idea, but they keep shifting their focus point way too many times, and, in the end, the movie doesn't know what they want to say.

Also, the comedy part was weak, even though the kids were cute. And the guy was simply annoying and the redemption arc for his behavior never came, despite the ending.

Finally, the performances were all great by everyone in the cast.

So, overall, four out of ten.
