Wunderbares Drehbuch (keine kitschigen Wendungen), sensible Figuren, fantastische Schauspieler

This series had me at the edge of my seat and it was very well done. The timing of when to be in the present and bringing up the past. If I could give it an award right now I would. Beautiful way to capture all the type of mothers out here in the world. Thank you for this production.
This soap opera is up and down and all around. Again, and again, over and over.
There is one totally absurd situation after another and lots of incredibly hysterical characters. There's also too many sub stories typical of soap operas and constant flash backs. You would have to be a soap opera fanatic to put up with the ridiculous plot.
It's much too long. I had to fast forward half of it to get through it because I wanted to see what happened to the young girl.
The only thing going for this series is very good acting. The child actress won awards for it. She is excellent.
Another reviewer is right. This should have been a 2-hour movie!
I give it 4 starts only for the acting alone.

Pain, anger, sorrow, love, happiness and more. I felt all of that while I was watching this TV series. I cried on the inside very often when sad things happened.
There are two reasons why I didn´t gave "Anne" a ten star rating. I would have preferred much more varied background music. And also I didn´t like the recap video clips that kept coming back and, all of a sudden, changed. It was a bit confusing for me.
Sule was not a bad mother to Melek/Turna from the very beginning. But almost all of her and Meleks/Turnas problems starts, without any doubt, when Cengiz comes into the picture. He is a violent, jealous, manipulative, selfish, disrespectful trickster with extremely little self-awareness. I got terrified when Cengiz, in one or two scenes, almost cried and seemed more human. I wondered who I was watching. He looked like Cengiz, but it was not his usual personality.
Melek/Turna is very sweet. I think that Zeynep rescued her from a unloving home. Zeynep was really brave and did what was morally right. She treated Melek/Turna as if she was her biological mother. And I understood that.
Gönül also deserves my appreciation. She supports Zeynep and Melek/Turna in many ways, which is nice to see.
So what do I take with me after watching "Anne"? Naturally a deeper love for my family.

"Soap opera" drama in it's best format for those who suffer from dry eyes syndrome - you will definitely squeeze out some tears while watching this.
I started watching Anne without any knowledge about it since beforehand. This is also the first Turkish show I have experienced. I got hooked even if I prefer thrillers and horror movies.
In general, it has been interesting to dive in to a new culture (Turkish culture), to see how people live, what they eat, what they wear, how they interact with each other etc, etc. (It's very different from my own culture and country, thus interesting and fun to watch.)
Regarding the story...it is very easy to follow and you get to know all of the characters quite fast. It's a drama roller coaster where you will follow the faith of a little child Melek/Turna being abused by her family and how she grows a deep and loving relationship with her teacher Zeynep.
Is it worth watching? I think yes, if you haven't seen a Turkish show before. The shows disadvantage is that it is a bit too lengthy. Would there be a 1,5 hour movie version, I'd prefer to watch that one.
