Reviewers say 'The Reliant' delves into moral and ethical dilemmas surrounding faith, survival, and the use of force. Kevin Sorbo's performance is lauded, yet the film is criticized for its heavy-handed approach and contrived plot. The portrayal of faith and Second Amendment rights sparks polarized reactions, highlighting the film's ambitious yet contentious blend of action and profound themes.

This movie is just plain boring. The plot makes no sense, the acting is wooden and it just never ends! To be fair, production value is decent. They did not cheap out.

I really wish I could give (-) star. The most irritating female characters I have seen in a while
We walked out after 35 minutes. Really wanted to like this movie, as the subject matter is relevant to me, but just thought it was really bad. Terrible acting, weak story line, dialog was silly and predictable and the starring actors were only in the first five minutes + may have been in later scenes but I just had to leave, it was just so lack luster). I support the message the film was trying to deliver, but it was just too much praise and no substance.. sorry, u really dislike this film...got a refund from theatre ..
Heavy handed evangelism, confusing leaps in the plot, inhuman characters, hilariously bad acting. Casual violence mixed with gun worship. Honestly no redeeming qualities.
This got several 1 stars so I almost didn't watch it. So I thought I would add another review. If you are offended by Christianity or a positive view point of guns you may not like this film, and I think would be the source of 1 star reviews. The writing and acting are not great, but that is true of many major films as well. I gave this a middle score, I watched the entire show and was entertained. So if you don't mind shows with a little less polish and recognize it is a film with a specific message you may enjoy it.

- GoofsRick appears to be a gun enthusiast, yet he fires two warning shots into the air at different times. Any trained shooter knows that doing so is a waste of ammunition, and it's also dangerous since the fired round will come down and could cause injury or death. In both circumstances he could have legally used deadly force.
