I thoroughly enjoyed the film. I love the dynamic between the main characters, it's so authentic and real. Beautifully shot and well-told story. I highly recommend checking it out when it becomes available!
Some sources, including IMDB, put this film in that genre but it's just a straight drama, not science fiction. (The "aliens" referenced in the title refer to undocumented aliens crossing the US-Mexico border.) If someone watches this film expecting any kind of a science fiction movie, they will be very disappointed. No tech-talk, no action-packed starship battles in space, no goofy sound effects.
Otherwise, it's well produced for what it is. Well written; original story; real characters who are naturally developed and who evolve; wonderful cinematography. It is sometimes difficult when a director/producer stars in their own film, but there are great performances by all of the actors playing the main characters here. However, the poor performances by some of the supporting actors is somewhat distracting at times.
Overall, it's well worth the time if you like character-driven drama.
Triggers: violence, rape, racist language, crime, infidelity. Subtitles: extensive, up to 250+ wpm ,

A very nice indie film. Most of the acting is good, the story moves along at a nice, steady, pace, it has good production values, and the film some deserves respect. I gave it an 8 for what it is - a good indie film. If this were some big budget film, my rating would be very different.
It is basically a political stand on the subject of illegal immigration into the USA across the Mexican border
It has nothing to do with science fiction or alien invasion stuff etc

I could not stop following the story. Clearly not from the Hollywood minds that know how to entertain but are so alike that they produce more of the same constantly.
Waiting for the SciFi aspect will lead to disappointment -- it's nil.
Clearly very low budget, but the acting is good and the story involving.
For a one person's effort , it is very good. Misses polishing here and there, and there was an instance of tech hiccup or editing mistake -- did not interfere with the story. Could have been an issue at Tubi.
