What a fantastic film about an enthusiastic schoolgirl starting a business using imaginative ways to get where she needs to be! It is incredibly inspiring for young people to follow their dream and be confident to start out no matter what obstacles appear to pop up. They are opportunities to overcome during the journey towards success. It is through the learning from experiences both positive and not that leads us on our path through life. Brilliant!
Really loved this. A young schoolgirl dreams the impossible dream, to manage a cool band (brilliant performance by Dougie Poynter). Has to sneak out from under her mother's nose to make it all happen right in the middle of her A levels. The soundtrack drives the antics (great music tracks). Every teen's fantasy.
The director manages to draw out tear-jerking performances, especially from the beautiful young star Ella Hunt, who flips seamlessly between scruffy schoolgirl and hip band manager.

I watch because I read review its good but this is very low skilled acting, the story isn't interesting or captivating in any way. This is the kind of film you find in poundland reduced to clear section, sorry. Dougie looked hot but thats bout it x
Started watching this - didn't know anything about it beforehand. It's a reasonable attempt at a "teen" flick, and does have some good actors in it....but unfortunately they don't prop up what is a pretty weak film. The actress in the titular role is competent, but the band members look like this is their first real acting job...maybe it is??
The storyline needs to be tighter, the direction needs to be more aggressive and less ponderous and the script itself just needs to be more professional...
I'm pretty sure that a load of effort was put into this film, so I have to show a degree of respect for that, but I could tell within the first few minutes that it fell some way short of being a polished production.

A fun feel-good film with real heart, Kat and The Band is well worth a watch. If you're feeling fed up this will definitely brighten your day!
Deft and subtle direction brings out brilliant performances in the cast and you really care about Kat and the people in her world throughout.
It looks good, feels good and leaves you feeling good - independent British film at its best. Enjoy (I did)!
