The Snow Job

Brit Porn shot on location in the French Alps, "The Snow Job" had the makings of a real movie, albeit XXX in content, but erstwhile boy/boy Gay porn director Blacky Mendez muffs the opportunity.

That's because at crucial moments he suddenly switches from his narrative and acting saga to all-sex content, destroying the edifice previously created. He might as well have saved time and money and christened this "Humping in the Snow" and just shot a gonzo one-day wonder back home on a set with cotton representing snow.

Denice K is the unusual heroine, out to get back her stolen jewels and enlisting several porno helpers (Clarke Kent and Tiffany Doll) to handle the derring-do. Bad guys are Megan Coxxx and Steve Hooper, and the cat burglar antics and sometimes very impressive stunts handled by Kent himself briefly divert the viewer from realization that this is a stupid sex exercise, not an action thriller.

All the scenes at the bad guys' lair are idiotic, with both Kent and Doll captured and escaping on a dime, and orgies dominating over characterization. In the Golden Age of theatrical porn this wouldn't pass muster and likely would not have been imported to America at all, and even now the DVD is unavailable stateside for obvious reasons.

But I'm a Brit Porn fan and willing to go the extra mile and buy such stuff from Europe in hopes that a quality product is awaiting my purview. Alas, this one doesn't measure up.
