Samuel Goldwyn Films will release the horror/thriller Head Count in theaters and on digital and On Demand June 14, 2019. The film premiered at the 2018 Los Angeles Film Festival, and Ashleigh Morghan was honored with the Nightfall Special Jury Prize for a Lead Actor. Head Count is directed by Elle Callahan (“Happy Deathday”) in her feature film debut, and Callahan co-wrote the script with Michael Nader (The Toll, Flock of Four). …

Sony’s ‘Goosebumps’ Sequel Adds Peyton Wich; Wme Signs Director Gregory Caruso – Film Briefs
Stranger Things and Mr. Mercedes actor Peyton Wich has been cast in Sony’s Goosebumps 2, joining Wendi McLendon-Covey, Ken Jeong, Chris Parnell, Madison Iseman, Ben O’Brien, Caleel Harris, and Jeremy Ray Taylor. Ari Sandel is developing this latest version based on the popular book series by R.L. Stine. Rob Lieber penned the screenplay for the sequel, which will open in theaters October 12. Neal H. Moritz is producing the pic under his Original Film shingle, along with Silvertongue Films, and Deborah Forte, who was previously with books’ publisher Scholastic Entertainment. Wich is repped by People Store, Abrams Artist Agency, and La Management.

Four Friends Search for a Jazz Legend in La in 'Flock of Four' Trailer
"Does your mother know you're going down there on a Friday night?" Abramorama has released the first trailer for a hazy, indie drama titled Flock of Four, the feature directorial debut of director Gregory Caruso. We haven't heard much about this yet, but it actually seems like a nifty story for a film, and it looks pretty darn good. Set over the course of one night in 1959, the film follows four best friend teens who drive around Los Angeles searching for one of their music idols, legendary jazz musician Pope Dixon (a fictional character inspired by real musicians), as played by Reg E. Cathey (who passed away in February). The cast includes Braeden Lemasters, Uriah Shelton, Isaac Jay, and Dylan Riley Snyder as the friends, as well as Shane Harper, Coco Jones, and Nadji Jeter.
