Julia Blue

I was at Snowdance film fest in Germany when I had the chance to watch this movie. I went into it not knowing much about it other then this was a love story in a war zone. You go from the city to the country side and by the end you feel as if you know the characters that inhabit this film and the Ukraine itself. I highly recommend this movie.

Set in post-revolution Kyiv, Ukraine, with beautiful scenery and a touching love story between two unlikely characters... a modern day love story, yes, but so much more... you don't often see films set in Ukraine, and this film captures the beauty and culture of both the city and countryside and the hardships its people have and had to endure... a realistic and artistic piece with exceptional directing, memorable characters, cinematography, and music composition... a charming film that will touch you and have you chuckling a few times along the way...
