Okay. If this is not the worst, it is one of the worst episode of GOT. I can't believe that I loved this show. GOT used to be great but now it is just another fan servicing SHOW.
I rated 4/10 for old times' sake.
It hurts giving it 5/10. I gave it 7 right after watching the episode, changed it to 6 after the 2nd watch, and now it's not even 5 for me, the more I think about it the less I like it!
How anyone will rewatch this series from season one and not laugh when they say "winter is coming" !! Sooo annoying

So I am reading reviews everywhere!
Majority are angry about the episode! HOW IN THE WORLD IS IT a 9.0???

Firstly, massive credit to the music composer for this episode, the music was absolutely perfect, but that was about it.
The visuals were great! But only on second viewing when having playback in 4k whilst also having the brightness on maximum, nobody could see what was going on at all throughout the episode if it wasn't in 4k quality, which is a horrible experience.
The writing was as if they got a 9 year old with no knowledge of game of thrones to write it, the army tactics were absolutely tragic and the amount of plot armour is actually unreal, screw the final battle against Cercie, just let Jon Snow run at the Lannister army all on his own, his plot armour will save him.
Summarising, this was a gigantic middle finger to every single fan.

Good visual effects but an disappointing ending to a story that expands over seven seasons..

- TriviaFilming this episode required 55 nights of filming over 11 weeks, and an unknown number of day shoots on stages, with roughly 750 cast and crew members. It was also a moving shoot that had to adjust with the moon. Several actors described this episode as the hardest thing they ever filmed. Maisie Williams (Arya) stated in Entertainment Weekly, "Nothing can prepare you for how physically draining it is. It's night after night, and again and again, and it just doesn't stop. You can't get sick, and you have to look out for yourself because there's so much to do that nobody else can do... there are moments you're just broken as a human and just want to cry." Iain Glen (Jorah Mormont) described it as a "real test, really miserable. You get to sleep at seven in the morning and when you wake in the midday you are still so spent you can't really do anything, and then you're back. You have no life outside it." Rory McCann (the Hound) concurred: "Everybody prays they never have to do this again." Glenn did add that it was only worse for the crew, since unlike the actors, they had to be on set at all times.
- GoofsDuring Jon's stand-off with undead Viserion, he avoids a burst of dragon fire by hiding behind a small rock. However, this would result in Jon's death, as Viserion's fire has been shown to be capable of burning through castle walls (and even through the Wall).
