looks promising but fails to deliver

Though newcomers, Darshan and Pia have proved themselves to fine actors. The story started off well but the writer perhaps could not find a way to closure. The end justifies the means, so all in all the movie might not be rated that well. But we sure hope to see more of the two actors.

screenplay is entertaining

#MirzaJuuliet is a fresh take on the traditional n doomed love story of Romeo n Juliet. The hindu heroine falls in love with the muslim hero, who happens to be her childhood dost. But she is engaged to a horny n would-be politician. The basic premise is interesting, the screenplay is entertaining, the hero is shown as shareef, the heroine is bindaas. This film also clearly highlights the position of ladies in north indian families, how they are abused in the name of love n how they dont have a say in important issues. Worth watching. Rating 3/5.
