Jason Statham wasn’t always an action movie legend. He started out as a competitive diver, and even modeled for Tommy Hilfiger and Levi’s. But as soon as he made his big screen debut in Guy Ritchie’s “Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels” it was obvious. A star was being born.

The teaser for genre filmmaker Guy Ritchie's upcoming, 10-episode Paramount+ gangster joint MobLand is one such trailer. All you really need to know going in is that Pierce Brosnan is crime boss Conrad Harrigan, Helen Mirren's his wife Maeve, and Tom Hardy is the Harrigan family's fixer Harry Da Souza. 'Sympathy For The Devil' blaring. Brosnan purring lines like "we shake the right hands, we break the wrong ones." Mirren going we think Irish also as a chic mob matriarch. Guy Ritchie returns to the well-worn world of London gangsters when MobLand premieres on Paramount+ on March 30th, 2025. The star-studded affair features Tom Hardy, Pierce Brosnan, and Dame Helen Mirren in a classic tale of two rival mafia families, in which the Harrigans and the Stevensons vie for criminal control of the city. The 10-part first season will roll out weekly episodes on the streaming platform throughout the spring.

Guy Ritchie's underrated spy comedy film starring Jason Statham will soon have a new streaming home. Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre will be available on Peacock on April 28.

Released in 2023, Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre sees special agent and elite spy Orson Fortune (Statham) working to retrieve a stolen high-tech device called "The Handle" before an arms dealer (Hugh Grant) can auction it off to the highest bidder. In order to get back The Handle, Orson assembles an elite team of undercover agents. In addition to Statham and Grant, the film stars Aubrey Plaza, Josh Hartnett, Cary Elwes, Bugzy Malone and Eddie Marsan. Ritchie wrote, directed and produced.

The theatrical release of Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre faced several setbacks around the world. It was reported that the film was pulled from release because of its depiction of Ukrainian gangsters being the main antagonists working with Grant's villainous character.

In "Snatch," things aren't looking good for bare-knuckle boxing promoter Turkish (Jason Statham) when he loses his fighter to an injury and wants to switch him out for "One Punch" Mickey O'Neil (Brad Pitt). The news doesn't go down well with violent pig-obsessed crime lord Brick Top (Alan Ford), who stands to lose a lot of money from the bets that've already been placed. 'MobLand' Has a Wonderfully Talented Cast

MobLand isn’t even out yet, and it’s already got proper hype.

Patricia Joseph joined Primary Wave Entertainment as vice president of creative synch, the company announced this week. She will be based in New York and report to senior vice president of creative/head of synch Marty Silverstone.

“I’m very excited that Patricia has joined the Primary Wave team, Silverstone said. “Her experience and relationships in all corners of the sync community will be very valuable as Primary Wave continues to grow.”

Joseph was head of synch at Crush Music, providing creative services and strategic marketing and licensing for artists like Sia, Lorde, Green Day, Panic! At The Disco, Fall Out Boy, Train, Weezer and others. Prior to that role, she worked as a music supervisor on films and ran the synch division at Razor & Tie Records. She created the soundtrack and licensing division at Tvt Records, where she worked with artists and projects including Pitbull, Lil Jon, Nine Inch Nails and others.

Exclusive: Harry Potter star Rupert Grint has signed with ICM Partners.

Grint is best known for his role as Ron Weasley, one of the three main characters in the Harry Potter franchise, having been cast in the role at the age of 11. He went on to star in all eight Harry Potter films from 2001 to 2011.

Grint most recently starred in and executive produced Sony Crackle’s Snatch, which recently wrapped its second season. He also recently portrayed Inspector Crome in The ABC Murders opposite John Malkovich for BBC.

On stage, Grint first starred opposite Ben Whishaw in Jez Butterworth’s Mojo at London’s Harold Pinter Theatre, and most recently, It’s Only A Play on Broadway opposite Nathan Lane and Matthew Broderick.

The BBC on Friday announced that it will not air its adaptation of the Agatha Christie novel Ordeal by Innocence, following multiple rape allegations made against star Ed Westwick, Variety reports.

The Gossip Girl alum has been accused of raping two women: actress Kristina Cohen, who in a Nov. 7 Facebook post claimed that the actor forced himself on her while attending a house party at his residence in 2014, and former actress Aurélie Wynn, whose alleged assault is said to occur at Westwick’s home that same year.

It’s been over a year since the first season of Stranger Things burst onto the scene, an enthralling mashup of eighties pop culture iconography that garnered huge critical and commercial acclaim. The scale of the Duffer Brothers’ achievements in creating such a lovingly-crafted homage to a bygone era shouldn’t go unrecognised; here at Den of Geek, unable to wait until the end of this week for a return to this monumental ode to the eighties, we’ve tried to replicate their success through scientific means, but thus far, our tactic of placing a DVD of E.T. atop a tattered old copy of The Shining in the hope that they’ll mate hasn’t yet worked. Not even with Barry White blaring in the background.

Netflix is responsible for seven of the top 10 originals in the second quarter of 2017, though Amazon’s The Grand Tour and Hulu’s The Handmaid’s Tale, which aired on Channel 4, completed the top three.

Amazon’s The Man In The High Castle is also in the top 10 and Parrot’s European director Courtney Williams expects the Jeff Bezos-led firm to catch up to Netflix in the near future.

Crackle has renewed its most-streamed scripted original for a second season.

Season 2 of Snatch will premiere in 2018, according to our sister site Deadline. The show, which stars Harry Potter alum Rupert Grint, follows young hustlers who are thrown into the dangerous world of organized crime when they find a truck of stolen gold bullion.

“Rupert, Luke [Pasqualino] and the rest of the cast have created memorable characters who truly resonated with our viewers,” Crackle general manager Eric Berger said in a statement, “and we look forward to following their adventures in Season 2 of Snatch.”

Grint plays a slightly posher character than Ron Weasley in the new series inspired by a real-life heist in London, starring as Charlie Cavendish. Gossip Girl star Ed Westick (hi Chuck Bass!) also stars as Sonny Castillo, while Skins' Luke Pasqualino and Scream Queens' Lucien Laviscount round out the ensemble cast.

In case you need reminding, Rupert is playing the posh character Charlie Cavendish who has the impeccable ability to pick out a dapper suit. He started filming Snatch back in August so they’ve been shooting this new series for about 5 months. Check out pictures from today in our gallery here. Alexander Cooke (a talent agent) also posted this epic photo on Instagram from the set the other day… those are some handsome lads indeed.

5.6 Occurence Reports

A full series finale is always a tricky thing to pull off. Not only does the plot of the last few episodes have to be wrapped up, but also a fitting end given to characters that audiences have grown to love over the years. Ripper Street’s final episode, Occurrence Reports, is one that manages to meet both of those needs head on by splitting the episode in two. The first half is dedicated to dealing with the final confrontation between Reid and Dove whilst the second half spends its time saying goodbye to the characters as they slowly go off...

November 2nd, 2016, 5:52pm– While Rupert Grint is busy filming Snatch, we have been busy behind the scenes as well and are proud to present our New Layout! October 20th, 2016, 4:14am– Rupert Grint took time out of his busy Snatch schedule to attend a fun event last night. He was at the Triumph Bonneville “Brutal Beauty” launch party in London where he enjoyed a night of beautiful motorcycles, loud engines and smoking tires.
