If you're looking for something different, EFC is worth checking out. This movie isn't your usual straightforward story-it's more like a visual journey that pulls you into another world. The director, Jaze Bordeaux, has created a mysterious and almost dreamlike atmosphere that feels surreal but totally captivating.
The plot doesn't spell everything out, which I actually enjoyed because it made me think. It's the kind of movie that leaves things open for interpretation, so don't expect to have every question answered. The cinematography is stunning, with beautiful shots and a moody vibe that kept me hooked. You can tell a lot of thought went into each scene, and that alone makes it memorable.
The cast did a great job, too. The actors bring a lot of emotion to their roles. It's clear they're all-in on creating this unique experience, and it really comes through on screen.
EFC can only receive a 10/10 from me because of the amazing fight scenes. As an indie movie EFC has set a new standard that is now set quite high for fight choreography in movies.
EFC won't be everyone's cup of tea, but if you're into movies that are more gritty and visual then it's definitely worth a watch. It's one of those films that sticks with you and leaves you thinking afterward. Give it a shot if you're in the mood for something artsy and thought-provoking!

I had mixed feelings about "EFC. The movie is a well-intentioned sports drama that attempts to shed light on the world of women's mixed martial arts. The film follows reigning MMA champion Cassidy Jones.
The movie is a visually engaging and it explores the emotional and physical struggles experienced by its female leads as they navigate the male-dominated world of professional MMA. Karlee Rose offers up a strong performance as Cassidy Jones, capturing the grit and determination of her character as she faces strong resistance from her sister Scarlet. The rest of the ensemble cast matches her intensity in the movie.
While the film's fight scenes are expertly choreographed and provide a glimpse into the high-stakes world of MMA, "EFC" falls short in its exploration of the characters' complexities. The narrative often feels shallow and predictable, failing to delve into the depths of the protagonists' personal struggles and motivations.
Despite its shortcomings, "EFC" remains a visually engaging and well-acted sports drama that highlights the unique challenges faced by women in professional sports. Fans of mixed martial arts and strong female leads may find aspects of the film to appreciate, but its predictable storyline and lack of character depth prevent it from reaching its full potential.

It's not just another fight, it's the fight for everything! The movie was definitely not what I expected a women's fight movie to be. While the first half of the movie put outs some great fights this movie was something like Succession from HBO mixed in with MMA but with a tag line like that it seemed like this was going to be the kind of 90s cheesy movie I grew up watching but the movie had a dramatic take to it and the opening scene set quite the tone for it as well.
I did feel some emotions throughout the movie. Especially when I thought Cassidy died in her fight and that was a heart pounding moment but the comedic moments were the best. My favourite scene is when Cassidy goes to Alexa and says "Its not just another fight, it's the fight for everything!" OMG I died laughing. That was the right amount of cheese I need in my movies on a weekend. Not to mention Frank sounds like Deadpool in a suit!!!
EFC will take you for a ride and entertain you at the same time. As DJ aka the Rock would say, "sit down, shut your mouth and know your role" and EFC definitely knows it role in the movie landscape, If you smell what I'm cooking!

I was thoroughly impressed with "EFC." This movie takes us into the world of women's mixed martial arts, at first the focus is on the rivalry between reigning MMA champion Cassidy Jones and ambitious contender Alexa Star but the movie takes a completely different turn and becomes something else and that's was a great thing.
I was skeptical about another movie being promoted as a MMA movie. Any MMA fan has been down this road before but the fight scenes in this movie kept me on the edge of my seat and are really some of the best stuff put together for a movie and while there's a lot of fight action in this movie, I was completely invested into Cassidy's journey and the demon she was battling in her head.
By the end EFC explored a lot of relevant themes faced by women in professional sports, adding depth to the story but while the plot does become predictable at times, The real fight in this movie will surprise you at the end and I thought it was a fitting way to end the movie. I found "EFC" to be an inspiring and very emotional drama that any fans MMA and strong female characters would enjoy.

"EFC" delivers exceptional and authentic women's MMA fight scenes that outperform those in recent films within the genre. The choreography is top-notch, capturing the raw intensity of the sport and placing viewers in the octagon. As the characters face high-stakes situations both inside and outside the octagon, the acting sometimes toes the line of melodrama but ultimately grounds the story in realism. The actors' intense performances reflect the genuine emotions of adults navigating the pressures of their careers, business and personal lives. While the film has its occasional dramatic excesses, it remains a compelling story of the women's MMA world and the challenges the sport faces. "EFC" is a must-watch for fans of the sport and anyone looking for a gripping, emotionally charged drama.
