Doucheaholics

It's a series like something you're likely to see on IFC. Similar to Kevin Smith's early work with Clerks except in color. It has a visual comedy element to it in the same vein as Edgar Wright. It utilizes the musical score to set the mood. And it uses the blocking of characters within the frame to add to the quirkiness of the situations.

The characters sit around a therapy circle the same way as tribesmen around a campfire to tell stories of their experiences. The different characters seem to have a duality to each other as if to balance each other out. For instance, there's a blonde woman and a goth girl as if on different sides of the spectrum. If you're into vibrant comedic shorts, then this is the series for you.

You know something is off when you get triggered by the tiniest of things... Like your neighbor's "douchey" behavior. Or, is it really a tiny thing or does it deserve a full-blown scene-on-the-spot? Or, is it your internal douche talking?

Questions like this come up throughout the season one, following a support group for all kinds of douchey people who try to help each other and, as a result, might go even deeper into the trenches of douchery.

Each episode focuses on a different member of the group as they share exaggerated stories about their self-centered, often embarrassing actions. The show dives deep into the themes of self-awareness, personal growth, and redemption - all with a tongue-in-cheek, satirical tone. It's a mirror held to each and every one of us.

Oh, and do you get triggered by some limiting belief phrases, like "work hard, play harder"? Then you'll relate to, or perhaps, detest, the character of Bryce. But to each their own. Enjoy the ride!

This is the best short series comedy I've ever watched!

I was not expecting it's gonna be that good because actually intellectual humor feels like lost in a timeline of movie industry and you can see it only in some old plays. But this short series brilliantly funny, charismatic, sarcastic in a way of turning mirror to ourselves and making us watch inside through humor and comedy. That way you don't hate that part of yourself, you recognize it though, acknowledge it and becoming a better person at least little bit ;) Story if each caracter makes you find that person either in yourself or in someone who you know or your close/loved ones.

Non-stop laugher and great performance. This is a funny show carried by great talent and consistent antics. Guerilla Wanderers continue to aim high and deliver phenomenal content to audience and fans. I look forward to season 2 and meeting other douches. Sean, Elizabeth and the entire cast should feel proud of the work done as it is funny with a simple message. Everyones is a douche. Each episode is held up by amazing dialogue and is just long enough to keep one engaged and wanting more. I am going to re watch season 1 again with a friend a group of mine who also miss so happen to be, you know.

This is extremely smart and funny. This reminds me of a more coked out "The Office" and I am all here for it! These actors have a really great sense of humor to them. This is stuff I wish Hollywood would be more willing to come up with. Sometimes we need more stories about terrible people, but that makes this particular series so much fun. I'm kind of running out of really positive adjectives to describe this particular show, but I honestly could use another season of all these actors and characters. Sean McCarthy is really on the rise and I would love to see what he does next. He's Mike Flanagan for comedy.
