Patrick Graham is making his return to Hindi-language horror, signing on to write a new feature film inspired by an real-life Indian tragedy.
Graham, who created the Netflix horror series “Ghoul” and “Betaal,” will pen the script for the untitled film being backed by Khyati Madaan’s Not Out Entertainment alongside Prashant Gunjalkar.
Ahan Shetty has been tapped to star, marking a genre shift for the actor following his debut in 2021 romantic action thriller “Tadap” and ahead of his role in the ensemble war epic “Border 2,” which also features Sunny Deol, Diljit Dosanjh and Varun Dhawan. The patriotic drama is scheduled for an Indian Republic Day 2026 release and is expected to be one of the year’s major theatrical events.
The project is being positioned as a theatrical horror experience mixing scares with romance, built around the real-life historical event. The casting of the female lead is currently underway,...

Season 2 brings the apocalypse to the Mojave, with more lore, more chaos, and Macaulay Culkin in the mix.
“Fallout” is one of my favorite shows of the last few years and one of the best video game adaptations ever, right alongside the first season of “The Last of Us.” And now, the apocalypse is back. Season 2 is officially set to premiere this December, with the action shifting from Los Angeles to New Vegas. Walton Goggins says it “blows Season 1 out of the water,” and Prime Video already renewed it for Season 3 before the second season even dropped. That’s how confident they are. Each year, Universal Orlando Resort and Universal Studios Hollywood’s Halloween Horror Nights pushes the limit on what a seasonal after-hours event can be. For Mike Aiello, senior director of creative development at Universal Orlando Resort, this year is about ramping up the scares across the park, while also introducing new event experiences like roving zombie carhops and a DJ dance area.
“There’s always something for everybody at the event, but I think it’s most true this year with the diversity of content, from the IP and original house ideas, and the connective tissue, which is our Scare Zone program,” he tells The Hollywood Reporter. “This year has evolved into something I think everyone’s going to like as a creative entity.”

Until 2020, there was a concerted effort from the Indian wing of Netflix, or maybe I should say the Hindi wing of Netflix, to tell stories set in the horror genre. Although Bollywood’s relationship with horror had been quite shaky, the streaming platform started off strong with Ghoul. With the ever-dependable Radhika Apte at the helm, the miniseries was a pretty interesting take on John W. Campbell Jr.’s Who Goes There? Then there was Betaal, which, unlike a lot of people, I actually enjoyed quite a bit. The idea of the Brits coming back to haunt us as zombies is an interesting concept, and it had some committed performances from Vineet Kumar Singh, Aahana Kumra, and Manjiri Pupala. After that we got Typewriter, which seemed promising because it had Sujoy Ghosh at the helm, but it was just a boring mess. In Ghost Stories, let’s be honest, only...

With Tougen Anki’s premiere, a stream of mixed reviews flooded in. The anime turned out to be too basic. It was full of shonen tropes, and the characters were personified archetypes. Every turn in the first episode was reminiscent of popular shonen shows. The second episode further solidified the perception that the anime isn’t doing anything new.
We got the training arc, characters ranging from friendly to fierce, and a new home for our protagonist. So, Tougen Anki isn’t beating the allegations of being basic but is feeding into them instead. Now that might make it seem like the anime is bound to fail, but there’s another possibility!

We know for sure that Danny and Michael Philippou, the sibling directing duo behind the Australian horror film Talk to Me are going to be making a sequel to that movie. The film not only racked up over $90 million at the global box office, it also earned praise from the likes of Steven Spielberg, Peter Jackson, Jordan Peele, George Miller, and Ari Aster… so it was no surprise when A24 announced they had given a greenlight to the a follow-up, titled Talk 2 Me. But two years have passed and there’s no sign of the sequel going into production any time soon, as the Philippous have been busy with a different horror project, Bring Her Back (which reaches theatres on May 30th). Now, the directors have revealed that they actually have two different...

Irrespective of the medium, Batman’s rogues gallery has always been an integral part of his mythos, and has heavily contributed to his status as one of the most iconic fictional heroes in media. And among all the iterations, barring comics, Batman: The Animated Series is highly considered the blueprint for Gotham’s underbelly, including Ra’s al Ghul.
Although it’s hard to imagine anyone other than David Warner in the shoes of Ra’s in the revered series, prior to incorporating Warner in the role, legendary actor Sir Christopher Lee was initially in line to helm Ra’s voice.

Everything that we need to know about Kaneki Ken’s journey (Photo Credit – Netflix)
In the blood-soaked arenas of shonen, where fists do most of the talking and power levels often trump personality, it’s easy to mistake strength for substance. Yet, time and again, the characters who leave a permanent scar on the audience’s memory aren’t the strongest; they’re the most broken.
They carry their flaws like open wounds and wear their trauma like armor, and among them, The popular anime’s Ken Kaneki doesn’t just stand out, he bleeds through the page.

Kaneki isn’t your typical main character built on glory and invincibility. He begins his journey not with a fist raised in the air, but with a book in his hand and hope in his heart. A quiet college student with a love for literature was thrown...

In the last couple of months, we saw rumors and speculation running rampant when it came to the Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion remaster. However, all of that came to an end on April 15th, when screenshots and promotional images of the remaster were discovered on Virtuous’ website, confirming that the remaster is definitely real.
However, this isn’t the only classic Bethesda game that’s getting the remaster treatment. That’s right, brand-new reports suggest that Fallout 3 remaster is on the cards. Considering the popularity of this post-apocalyptic title, it’s not a surprise that Bethesda is planning a modern-day overhaul.
Unfortunately, if we’re to believe the rumors, it’s going to be a long while before gamers get their hands on the post-apocalyptic remaster.
Fallout 3 Unreal Engine 5 remaster is in the works
It’s fair to say that Fallout 3 holds a special place in every Bethesda fan’s heart.

Optimism, perseverance, and, power of friendship are no longer the sole pillars that support the shonen genre. Modern shonen series have introduced darker elements that are broadening the horizons of what ‘shonen’ entails. Tatsuki Fujimoto’s Chainsaw Man is the perfect example of how to challenge shonen stereotypes perfectly.
However, there’s a flip side to this discourse. Every time a creator does something unconventional, there’s always a risk of sparking backlash. Fujimoto is treading cautiously to ensure that he can convey his vision in Chainsaw Man without hurting the boundaries of the shonen category.

Purposely sloppy but brutally direct in his approach, Ken Carson pushes rage music to its most sonically extreme form. The 22 songs on the rapper’s fourth studio album, More Chaos, aren’t about anything in the traditional sense. They’re just hedonistic flexes of varying length, with Carson riding glitchy, glossy, and often poorly mixed beats packed with deafening, distorted bass. He mutters his signature snicker, delivers a half-slurred, half-mumbled flow, and stumbles across a few quotables along the way.
If this all sounds familiar, it’s because we’ve been here before, with 2023’s A Great Chaos, to be exact. As its title suggests, More Chaos is more of an extension of that project’s sound rather than a full-fledged sequel, setting itself up to be considered minor—and in many ways, it is.
If you were to quantify the growth between these two albums as a line, it would be nearly horizontal.

Tokyo Ghoul put Ishida Sui on the map as one of the best mangakas in the industry. Rightfully so, not only did the Seinen series break many stereotypical barriers but also erased the boundaries between good and evil.
The series follows Ken Kaneki, a human who gets turned into a half-ghoul after a date gone wrong. A deep dive into the human psyche, societal commentary, and a subtle political message, Ishida Sui’s story has it all.

In Biblical lore, Lazarus of Bethany is brought back to life by Jesus as one of the miracles he performed. It's why stories use the name Lazarus when it comes to long or everlasting life. For example, it was where DC Comics got the name for the Lazarus Pits.
On DC Comics' Earth Prime, the Lazarus Pits are pools around the world that can bring a person back to life (depending on their injuries). However, resurrection comes with a price. It causes the user to go mad. Ra’s al Ghul may have used it more than anyone, and that's why he gets crazier as time goes on. He's abused the pit too often.

Fallout 76 has clearly seen bad days during the time of its launch. The game, made by Bethesda Game Studios, was considered the worst-released video game back in the ye old days of 2018. But after the Wastelanders expansion pack, the game received a fairly good reception, and according to critics, it actually felt like a Fallout game after the expansion.

Fallout is a franchise that’s known for its incredible single-player experience. So, when Bethesda revealed Fallout 76, the first multiplayer entry in the series, gamers were unhappy. All of their worst fears came true with the release of the game, as it was a half-baked product that lacked what made Fallout games special.

Tokyo Ghoul was a series that was at the peak of its popularity at one point. But as the anime decided to go original, the interest of fans slowly waned. The anime was unable to capture the essence of the manga, causing the fans to feel disappointed that there was no faithful adaptation.

For new anime fans, there are plenty of great titles to pick up and binge-watch. Titles like Madoka Magica, Fullmetal Alchemist, and Konosuba can give viewers hours of intense action, comedy, and drama. A lot of this goodwill is built up through the anime's first season, which can help build fanbases for franchises overnight if done well. However, if the sequel doesn't live up to expectations, an anime series can be doomed to obscurity prematurely.
While the success of a good first season can set up an anime for success, a bad follow-up can ruin this potential altogether. A bad sequel can do much more than just ruin an anime's potential. It can also spell disaster for the franchise it's based off of. A poor adaptation of the source material can lead to potential fans to drop out in droves, leaving little enthusiasm for future sequels.

In the history of dark fantasy anime, Tokyo Ghoul remains one of the most renowned adaptations of Sui Ishida’s titular manga. The series quickly rose to fame for how it showcased a raw depiction of human nature using its emotionally complex characters.

It’s been almost a decade since Fallout 4 first hit the shelves, and if Fallout was any other franchise, it would’ve been bombarded with multiple entries. However, as Bethesda fans, we’re all used to waiting years between mainline entries, and it’s the same case for Fallout 5.
Fallout 3 was one of the biggest success stories for Bethesda. (Image via Bethesda Game Studios)
Currently, The Elder Scrolls 6 is Bethesda’s priority, as the game entered full-scale production back in August 2023. We don’t know when Fallout 5 will be released or how Bethesda will approach it, considering all its recent disasters. However, if it’s looking to make a real impact, it must adopt one of the best parts of Fallout 3.
Fallout 5 can break records by bringing back this one feature
When Fallout 3 debuted all the way back in 2008, gamers couldn’t stop praising the game and labeled it as Bethesda’s best work ever.

2024 was a great year for Ella Purnell, who garnered nominations for her performances in Arcane and Fallout. The actor says she's thrilled by the response, but she thinks it's time to break away from video game adaptations.
Ella Purnell doesn't want to be pigeonholed into playing video game characters. "I actually think I need to stay away from video game adaptations now, because I'm going to get typecast," she explained (per Popverse). Purnell has an established filmography spanning 14 years; she's proved her acting range in TV's Sweetbitter, Yellowjackets, and most recently Sweetpea. She won over the League of Legends fan base as the voice actor for Jinx in 2021's Arcane, and in 2024, she did the same with the Fallout franchise. Purnell anticipates offers for similar roles now that she's proved her mettle in the genre.

Before he starred in Prime Video’s Fallout as The Ghoul, Walton Goggins played a character hired by a 12-year-old to assassinate Santa Claus. Goggins starred alongside Mel Gibson in 2020’s Fatman, which hits the free streaming service Tubi on Jan. 1.
Fatman is a different type of Christmas movie in which Gibson plays Chris Cringle. Along with his wife, Ruth (Marianne Jean-Baptiste), they run a Christmas present workshop near the town of North Peak, Alaska. Distributed by Saban Films, the movie made a meager $1.5 million at the worldwide box office, according to Box Office Mojo. Fatman was written and directed by Eshom Nelms and Ian Nelms.

Just like American comics, Japanese manga volumes need an excellent cover to draw readers in and entice them to dive right into the adventure. Even the best manga series of all time need a compelling, visually unique cover to wordlessly establish the series' tone and get potential readers' interest within a few seconds. It's a blend of marketing and art, and plenty of manga series have mastered this trick.
Manga covers will usually show one or more of the main characters, and they may be highly expressive with their faces, outfits, and posture, such as looking ready for battle or ready for love. The best of these manga covers have that elusive "it" factor that neatly encapsulate what the series is all about, all while being a stunning piece of artwork in their own right. There are more than a few to choose from, with a handful of manga covers...

Prime Video has yet to announce Fallout Season 2 release date, but there's good news ahead for fans of the series. Walton Goggins offered a glimpse of The Ghoul to confirm they've started filming.
Fallout fans are raving over Walton Goggin's Instagram post, which teased him getting comfortable under The Ghoul's skin. The photo also confirmed it won't be long before Season 2 premieres. "Back in the saddle… #Deux. Gatdamn it feels good to slip on this skin. I do this shit for the love of the Game," Goggins wrote. He previously lamented the hours he spent on the makeup chair for the transformation, which involved nine pieces of thin silicone layered on his face, followed by finishing touches that fleshed out The Ghoul's irradiated, subhuman skin. The makeup team spent nine months perfecting the process, which reduced Goggin's five-hour ordeal to one hour and 45 minutes.

In spite of not being much of a “gamer guy,” Walton Goggins sees the Ghoul as a pivotal role for his acting career and public image. Goggins recently sat down with Salon for a tell-all interview regarding his work on the Emmy-nominated Fallout TV show and what it means for the future.
Fallout, which you can watch on Amazon Prime Video, is based on the long-running series of post-apocalyptic video games from Bethesda. But Goggins accepted his role on the show without having any interest in its roots. “I don't know what Fallout is. I don't know the game," he said. "I don't care that it's based on a game. If you’re looking for someone to curate programming at your horror streaming service, hire the guy with the trio of “Halloween 3: Season of the Witch” (1982) masks tatted on his forearm. Sam Zimmerman was built — or at least inked — for the Shudder job.
This is Zimmerman’s time of year — and it’s extra special in 2024. September and December both have Friday the 13th dates, perfect bookends for Shudder’s supersized Season of Screams. During the same window, Zimmerman is moving his young family onto what he described as the Halloween block in his new (and quaint) town. Quite the Halloween for this guy, both professionally and personally.
With all due respect to AMC+, Shudder is the standout AMC Networks streaming service (of the many we don’t feel like counting right now), and the Season of Screams will pack the app with film releases, series, specials, and live watch parties.

Fallout is now a career highlight for Walton Goggins, who recently earned an Emmy nod for his performance as The Ghoul. The actor said playing that character comes with unique hurdles.
Walton Goggins has gained a cult following by playing film and TV's most memorable (and most despicable) roles. The actor's filmography hints at his knack for playing villains, anti-heroes, and morally questionable characters. This is best defined in his critically acclaimed performance as Fallout's The Ghoul, a subhuman creature with a tragic past (that's revealed in alternate scenes of flashbacks). This dual role allowed Goggins to portray a nuanced, sympathetic, yet nihilist character. In an interview with Collider, the actor recounted his TV performances and picked a standout; he would choose The Ghoul if forced by an ultimatum.

Fallout's best moments revealed its characters' backstories in just a few lines of dialogue. Walton Goggins said nothing describes The Ghoul's tragic arc better than Episode 4's brief end sequence.
Walton Goggins reflected on The Ghoul's best moments in an interview with Collider. The character broke Fallout lore by depicting ghouls as sympathetic creatures. The show immediately revealed The Ghoul's origin as actor Cooper Howard, an upstanding human abiding by his moral code; the end of Episode 1 revealed him as a subhuman nihilist who would do anything for self-preservation. Goggins praised the show's writers for letting his scenes breathe, allowing his character to reveal motivations without exposition. "I like the way in which our writers, Geneva [Robertson-Dworet] and Graham [Wagner] and El Jefe, our fearless leader, Jonathan Nolan, decided to tell this story," he asserted. "They give space for behavior. Not every scene is jam-packed with words or explanations of what's going on.

Ranker is a popular place on the Internet where people can rank whatever they want, however, they want, and whenever they want. This is always a fan-focused ranking system, and it is never officially tied to the people behind the projects in question. Recently, a large survey was organized on Ranker, whose goal was to determine the best Batman villains of all time. The list includes almost 100 villains, but in our report, we have decided to list the top ten best villains from the site to provide you with better insight, combined with our original comments and opinions, which will add flavor to the whole report.
Of course, since this is indeed an important list, we have decided to report on it, so we are going to bring you the results by listing the top 10 best villains on this list, from 10th to first place, with the first one being the absolute best one.

Batman has been around for 85 years and the argument can be made that he is the greatest superhero of all time. Despite having no superpowers, he consistently defeats his enemies through his wits and ingenuity. His peak physical condition and exceptional hand-to-hand combat skills also play a role in his success. Batmans rogues gallery is filled with iconic and terrifying villains, and several anime characters would fit perfectly among them.
Most of these terrifying anime characters are villains in their own series, but a few follow their own brand of justice, which would put them at odds with Batman's moral code. Some of these characters possess supernatural abilities, but others are far more grounded. Many of these characters would test Batman physically, but others would test him emotionally and mentally.

Smallville's Lex Luthor, Michael Rosenbaum, became widely known for his iconic role on the CW Network's (formerly The WB Network) early 2000s Superman prequel series. Some would argue that his performance as the DC Comics villain has yet to be topped. Show creators Alfred Gough and Miles Millar were the first to give a substantial on-screen backstory to the character. Gough and Millar also created a new nemesis in Lionel Luthor -- Lex's cold and unflinching father, played by veteran actor John Glover. For a number of reasons, Rosenbaum left the successful show after Season 7, but his talent isn't restricted to his time portraying Superman's greatest foe.
